Suwon study café with solo and group seats: Café Meomureum
In short
Café Meomureum is a café in Jangan-gu, Suwon, with study-café-style solo seats and spacious group tables. I enjoyed a salt bread, misutgaru, and iced Americano while working on my laptop. Verdict: a quiet, comfortable café I’ve saved for repeat visits.

This weekend, I finally went on a café date for the first time in a while. We were looking for somewhere quiet to focus and visited Café Meomureum (카페 머무름)—personally, the best laptop-work café I’ve been to lately ✨

Deep inside the café, there was a well-equipped space that felt like a study café, making it perfect for studying and laptop work. It has everything: a wide selection of drinks and desserts, plus great taste 🥐 I’ve saved it as a place I’ll definitely revisit whenever I need somewhere to focus!
Café Meomureum location and parking
The café is on the second floor of Dongsin General Shopping Center in the Dongsin 1st Apartment complex.

You can park freely within the apartment complex. It was convenient because there was no separate parking registration or time limit, though that also meant there were lots of cars parked along the roadside here and there, so it felt a little hectic.

I wasn’t sure I was in the right place because the café sign wasn’t visible from outside the shopping center, but once I went up to the second floor, it was easy to find.

For an older shopping center, the café itself felt clean and stylish! They did such a great job with the interior.

The white-and-green accents really stood out, and the entrance was decorated with such a lovely feel from the start.
A quiet, cozy café interior

The overall atmosphere is spacious and cozy. I find it hard to sit for long in cafés where the tables are cramped together or the space feels stuffy, but this was exactly the quiet, comfortable setting I wanted.

The window seats were especially pretty ☀️ The large windows let in beautiful sunlight, and I thought that next time I should sit here, look outside, and take my time. The opposite side also has floor-to-ceiling windows, so nothing feels closed in. It makes the interior look even bigger!

There are all kinds of seats, from sofa seating to four-person tables, and high chairs are available too. I sat on the sofa for a moment, and it was so comfortable 🛋️

Paintings hung throughout the café, giving it the feel of a little gallery. There were lots of colorful works to look at 🎨 In one corner, there were books and coloring activities for children, so it looked like a nice place to visit with kids too! They displayed artworks that guests had colored themselves, and it was fun to look at each one. This little area was just too cute.
Solo and group seats for laptop work
And now, the space that surprised me most! When you head farther into the café, you find this study-café-like area, and it was much bigger than I expected. Independent-feeling solo seats line both sides, making it just right for focused studying or laptop work. Every seat has an outlet, with a Wi-Fi QR code posted right there too—such a thoughtful touch! Farther inside, there are even spacious group tables, so it seems like it would work for gatherings with several people as well.
Restroom location
Go out into the corridor, walk straight ahead, then turn left to find the restroom. The building is old, so the restroom did show its age, but it was still kept reasonably clean.
Drinks and dessert menu

I loved the varied drink menu. Not just coffee, but smoothies, lattes, ade drinks, and tea too! Since I don’t drink coffee, the drink menu is what I care about most when choosing a café, and this place had everything I wanted.. 🤍

There’s even a ₩1,000 discount on drinks for takeout ☕️

Even after a meal, there’s always a separate stomach for dessert, right? So I quickly picked the best-selling salt bread too.
Salt bread and misugaru taste
- Iced Americano ₩4,000
- Misugaru ₩6,000
- Salt bread ₩3,500

The salt bread had a firmly baked exterior, and the more I chewed, the more nutty buttery flavor came through! The inside was soft and lightly savory—so good 🥐

My boyfriend, who loves coffee, practically downed his in one go! He said it was delicious: cool and clean-tasting. The misugaru (sweet roasted grain drink) was nutty and sweet, and it paired perfectly with the salt bread.
Café Meomureum final thoughts
It was such a great café for laptop work that I got so focused I completely lost track of time 💻🤍 With everything from solo seats to spacious group tables, I recommend it for laptop work, studying, or meetups! The overall atmosphere is quiet and calm, so it is also a great place to relax for a while 🌿 We decided we’ll come back again next time. If you’re looking for a good place in Suwon for laptop work, studying, or a gathering, definitely give it a visit.
