Brunch restaurant in Seocho, Seoul: steak cream pasta at Dooblock Isu
In short
Dooblock Isu is an Italian brunch restaurant on Bangbaecheon-ro 24-gil in Seocho, Seoul, where an orange-toned interior makes the room feel more like a select shop than a restaurant. On a weekday visit at 1:30pm, the steak cream pasta (24,800 won) and the squid ink risotto with octopus (24,800 won) were both Dooblock Isu's best-selling dishes. The cream pasta sauce was deep and rich without being heavy, though big eaters will want to add a salad or sandwich.

A stylish brunch spot I found near Isu Station: Dooblock!

I finally made it to Dooblock Isu, an Italian restaurant already well known for its pasta and risotto!

It's a special space where you can enjoy a relaxed brunch in a sleek atmosphere that feels like stepping into a designer boutique.

Parking at Dooblock Isu: what if the mechanical garage is full?
There's a mechanical parking lot inside the Dooblock Isu building, but once it fills up, you can't park (SUVs aren't accepted either way).

It was full when I visited too, so I just parked comfortably at a nearby public parking lot and walked over.
There's a row of public parking lots along this street, so let me share the location of the closest one.

I arrived around 1:30pm on a weekday, and the place was already packed with people leisurely enjoying lunch.
Inside Dooblock Isu: a sleek orange-toned interior
The moment I stepped through the door, the vibe was so hip and stylish that I genuinely wasn't sure whether I'd walked into a restaurant or a boutique.
The main theme is a bright orange, which gives the space a warm yet vivid feel.

It was also fun spotting Hermès cases decorating the space here and there — it seems the owner really loves the Hermès brand. There's also plenty of group seating on the terrace side.
Large plants placed between the tables also thoughtfully prevent any awkward eye contact with other diners while eating — a nice touch.

Best seller: steak cream pasta, deep and rich
I picked it without knowing it was a best-seller, only to find out later that both dishes are actually this place's best menu items.

I tried the pasta first, and the sauce had a much deeper, richer flavor than your typical cream pasta — I could tell right away this is a kitchen that takes its cooking seriously.

The beef flap meat that comes standard on top can be upgraded to tender chuck flap for an extra charge. I had the standard flap meat and enjoyed it plenty.
There was none of the usual heaviness that comes with cream pasta, so I finished the whole plate without feeling weighed down at all. This pasta is totally my type. T.T I want to eat it again.
I went with the mildly spicy option (marked as recommended on the menu), and even I — someone who can't handle spice well — ate it just fine.
Nutty and savory: squid ink risotto with octopus
The squid ink risotto (쁠뽀 먹물 리조또) is meant to be eaten by mixing in the cream sauce on top.
Scooping up small pieces of octopus with the rice brings out a briny, nutty flavor that's absolutely delicious. You can adjust the spice level in three stages: mild, slightly spicy, and spicy.

My friend said both dishes were good, but the risotto suited her taste perfectly, and she'd order it again next time!
I liked both too, but the cream pasta is my personal favorite!
Tips to know before visiting Dooblock Isu
True to form as an Italian restaurant, they offer a wide variety of pasta types, which really shows how seriously they take their cooking. (I'll attach the full menu below.)

They also have pizza, sandwiches, and more, so there's a wide range to choose from.
One thing to keep in mind: the portions overall might feel a bit small for men or big eaters.
If you tend to eat a lot, I'd recommend everyone picking their own main dish and adding a salad or sandwich, for three dishes total.

Also, pickles aren't served by default — if you need some, just press the request button on the table kiosk and staff will kindly bring them over.
That's Yeni's honest review of Dooblock Isu. Below is the full menu and price list, so take a look if you need it before you go.
