Honey cod and jambon cabbage salad course at Dooblock Isu, Seocho

I was hanging out near Isu Station and stumbled on a Western restaurant with amazing vibes!

It's Dooblock Isu, perfect for an Isu date course.

The atmosphere was totally on point and every single dish was so good — this place is perfect for a wedding-invite meetup near Isu. Here's my Dooblock Isu review~

Getting there from Isu Station and parking

Dooblock Isu, an Isu-area Western restaurant, sits tucked inside an alley near Isu Station, so it was easy to get to by public transit. Being an Isu meetup spot, the walking access made it convenient to set as a meeting place~

Great vibes from the moment you walk in~ For parking at Dooblock Isu, you can use the building's mechanical parking or a nearby public lot.

Interior atmosphere and group seating

The interior was full of Instagram-worthy vibes! The interior design and lighting were pretty, so photos came out great too~ (Highly recommend as an Isu blind date spot,,,,)

The table spacing was nicely generous too, and group seating is available, so I thought it'd be great if you're looking for an Isu meetup spot.

The atmosphere was seriously amazing ㅠㅠ I need to come back and add it to my next Isu date course.

Jambon cabbage salad

For an appetizer I picked the jambon cabbage salad — lightly grilled young cabbage topped generously with salty jambon ham and dressing!

Jambon's been trending lately so I just ordered it on a whim, but who knew young cabbage could be made this delicious?!!!

The crunchy texture of the cabbage combined with the jambon's flavor and the sauce was so good — the refreshing yogurt-flavored sauce was the real kicker!

I kept saying how good it was the whole time I was eating. It refreshed my palate and paired really well with the next course!

Honey cod

Honey cod, a Spanish dish, is a grilled fish — moist, tender cod topped with sweet honey, savory aioli sauce, and tomato sauce!

The soft, clean flavor of the fish and the umami of the sweet-salty sauce combo was really excellent.

Literally honey-flavored~~ Clean, no fishy taste at all, and it would pair really well with white wine too!

If you're torn on a main dish, I highly recommend the honey cod — it's not a common dish,,,

Myeoljeot oil pasta

The last main dish, myeoljeot oil pasta, was a creative fusion menu combining Jeju's myeoljeot sauce with a Western-style oil pasta!

It felt somewhat similar to an anchovy pasta, but the noodles were coated in a salty yet rich umami flavor~

The garlic and pepperoncino aroma cut through any heaviness, so I kept eating without stopping.

There's also a generous amount of pork neck meat in it, so it's perfect if you can't decide between meat and pasta~
