It had been a while since I visited Suwon Station with my partner. We were trying to decide what to eat and settled on Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch, where the staff grill the meat for you. It's such a well-known brand that we didn't hesitate at all.
Where is Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch, and where do you park?
Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch is on the 1st floor at 114-11 Maesan-ro 1(il)-ga, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, and it's open from 15:30 to 02:00 the next day (last order 01:00). For parking, you can use Hwanggeum Parking Lot behind the restaurant, which gives you 2 free hours.

You can park at Hwanggeum Parking Lot behind Ssosam 208, which is super convenient, and with 2 hours covered you don't have to worry (just make sure to tell them your license plate number when you pay and leave!). Even though it was a weekday, the place was packed with people! The restaurant is spacious, so it looked great for family dinners or work gatherings too.

What we ordered on the tableside kiosk and what it cost
Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch has a kiosk at every table, so contactless ordering was really convenient. We ordered the medium mixed platter 500g for ₩48,500, lava fondue cheese for ₩5,000, beef brisket doenjang stew for ₩3,000, basalt snow cheese kimchi fried rice for ₩6,000, a rice bowl for ₩1,000, Chamisul soju for ₩5,000, and Zero Pepsi for ₩2,500 ❤️
If you visit through a Naver reservation, you can get a beef brisket doenjang stew coupon and a pork cheek 100g coupon, and if you leave a receipt review on Naver you can get free lava fondue cheese — make sure to reserve and claim these!!!

The free rice noodles and dipping sauces at Ssosam 208
One of the reasons Ssosam 208 is so great — rice noodles come free as a starter!! They're slightly spicy and surprisingly addictive, perfect for whetting your appetite before the main dishes arrive. The rice noodles come with one free refill, so just ask the staff if you want more.

You also get onion soy sauce, salted anchovy sauce (myeol젓), salt, wasabi soy sauce, sesame oil sauce, ssamjang, cumin (jjiran), scallion strips, and mountain garlic (myeongi namul) to go with your meat — it's a simple lineup, but it doesn't overpower the meat at all, just perfect!

What's in the medium mixed stone-grill platter (500g)?
The mixed stone-grill platter (medium) comes with three cuts — pork belly 250g, pork neck 150g, cheongyeopsal (thousand-layer pork belly) 100g — plus tofu and kimchi. The staff grill it for you from start to finish, so it was really easy and comfortable to eat.

Lava fondue cheese, ₩5,000
The lava fondue cheese is a must-order every time I come to Ssosam 208. It's a sauce you really can't taste anywhere else — the cheese makes it super savory but also spicy. It has so much character, and dipping the meat all the way in is seriously the best ❤️

Beef brisket doenjang stew for ₩3,000
We tried the beef brisket doenjang stew, and it's packed with beef brisket, tofu, zucchini, and onion — for ₩3,000!! Ordering it is basically a no-brainer.

Staff grill for you, so you can focus on the conversation
Each sauce has such a distinct charm that they're really delicious — you can't help but reach for a drink haha. Since the staff grill everything, it was so easy to focus on conversation with my partner, and I think it'd be just as great for family dinners or work gatherings too! What I loved most was how spacious the gaps between tables were.

The tofu and kimchi grilled alongside the meat. Good to eat with the meat, and also great made into dubu-kimchi (tofu and kimchi) on its own haha.

Finishing with basalt snow cheese kimchi fried rice
We did have a rice bowl, but!!!! The real finale is the basalt snow cheese kimchi fried rice. It comes pre-fried, packed with kimchi and meat, then topped with seaweed flakes and cheese.
Eating delicious meat on Ssosam 208's signature volcano stone grill and finishing with the fried rice felt truly complete. With so many different sauces, you can eat exactly to your taste, and having the grilling service meant we could eat so comfortably. If you're at Suwon Station looking for a great BBQ spot, definitely check out Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch ❤️
