Soy crab lunch with Mom after waiting, Bucheon: Gim Myeongju
In short
Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Bucheon Main Branch is an all-you-can-eat banchan Korean restaurant near Gachiul Station in Jak-dong, Bucheon. Arriving at 1pm to a full house and a 3-team wait, the writer ordered two Tteuranchae Bapsang set meals plus a soy crab side dish and got 12 banchan, cheonggukjang, and four crabs. The soy crab wasn't too salty and the cheonggukjang wasn't too strong, making it a solid pick for a family meal with parents.

Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Bucheon Main Branch — my nth visit to this place packed with fresh Korean set-meal banchan (side dishes).
Hi, this is food blogger Kkami! Tteuranchae Bapsang is a place my mom and I both love because of the wide variety of banchan — my mom actually goes even more often than I do haha. This time I picked the soy crab menu and came home with a very full belly.

Menu and how to order at Gachiul's Korean restaurant Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang

I went around 1pm, and even though it was that time of day, this huge place was completely full, wow.... It's a restaurant older folks seek out too.

After waiting for about 3 teams ahead of us, we got seated. We ordered right away. The Tteuranchae Bapsang (₩13,000) is required per person! For a group of 4, you also need to order at least one à la carte dish. Since my mom had been wanting crab for a few days, I ordered the soy crab (₩18,000).

This Bucheon favorite that older folks especially love has so many varied, healthy banchan.

You can take as much as you want from the all-you-can-eat bar, so you can enjoy fresh food to your heart's content!
The soy crab Tteuranchae set meal spread

Once you order, 12 basic banchan come out. Just looking at the photos you can feel how healthy it is, right? There are a lot of namul (seasoned greens) and vegetable dishes that older folks especially like, so it's really nice to bring your parents here.

With the cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) that comes as standard plus the à la carte soy crab, a delicious full spread was set.
The rice comes in a stone pot, so if you scoop the rice out and add lukewarm water, you get delicious nurungji (scorched rice). If you run out of rice, there's plain steamed rice at the refill bar too.
Here's the Bucheon set meal, the Tteuranchae Bapsang soy crab set, all laid out. Even writing this now, my mouth is watering haha.

How many crabs do you get with the soy crab?
The delicious soy crab comes with four crabs. It's not too salty, which I actually preferred even more. You could pick out the crab meat and eat straight through the legs without even needing rice.

They're cut in half for easy eating, and the portion was very generous for two people. Halfway through we were saying 'wow, so full already~' but eating slowly, we managed to finish it all except two pieces.

A cheonggukjang even beginners can eat
The cheonggukjang here at Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang, which I love so much... the flavor isn't too strong, so even someone new to cheonggukjang can really enjoy it. It comes with aged kimchi mixed in, which is slightly tangy and pairs so well with the savory, nutty stew 🥹
What about parking, waiting, and the interior/exterior?

This Bucheon Jak-dong favorite, Tteuranchae Bapsang, has a spacious parking lot with an attendant on-site, so you can visit without worrying about parking — very satisfying.

Since it's on the 2nd floor, you can climb the stairs to a waiting area set up for guests.

Near the entrance inside, you can make a CatchTable waitlist reservation, so when it's full you can wait in the waiting room and get called in via monitor and voice announcement.

That day I got a window seat and enjoyed a cozy meal with my mom looking out at the view haha.

On the way out, I finished with a cup of milk coffee from the coffee machine! Black coffee is available too, so use whichever suits your taste.
Every time I visit, I leave satisfied with fresh, delicious food and healthy banchan. If you're looking for a Gachiul Korean restaurant in Bucheon for a family meal with parents or a group gathering, I recommend it. Come enjoy a satisfying meal at Tteuranchae Bapsang~!
