Bucheon men's hair salon for thick, shaggy hair down perm: Ieum Men's

It had been just over a month since my last cut and my hair was starting to look messy, so I went to Ieum Men's Hair Bucheon City Hall Station, a newly opened Bucheon hair salon specializing in men's hair. Here's my review after getting a cut and down perm from director Taeho!

This Bucheon men's hair salon, Ieum Men's Hair Bucheon City Hall Station Branch, is only 240m from Bucheon City Hall Station and sits right behind Hyundai Department Store, so it was easy to find.

Head up to the 3rd floor and a clean, tidy salon greets you.

Interior and the private treatment rooms

This is the interior of Ieum Men's Hair Bucheon City Hall Station Branch. It's a new salon, but isn't it super clean?? They've got a hand-washing area, personal lockers, and more.

There are about 4 of these private one-on-one treatment rooms set up, so you can get your service done privately! So clean, seriously.

Even the shampoo room is pretty... my guess is, since the shampoos come in different colors, they use different ones depending on each customer's scalp condition, haha.

From the survey consultation to the cut

After booking and arriving at this Bucheon men's hair salon, Ieum Men's Hair Bucheon City Hall Station Branch, I filled out a survey like this on the sofa by the entrance! I could see them carefully checking what style I wanted. I just wanted something tidy and clean, so I only marked the length I wanted and left the rest to the director, haha.

<Before the treatment> My hair was pretty shaggy, right? LOL. You can also see how damaged my hair was from a previous treatment. I had to grow it out just to cut off the damaged parts, and that was rough. Friends used to tease me calling it 'triangle head' — but that's over now.

After sitting down, we went over the survey I'd filled out earlier and discussed the style I wanted before starting.

The cut begins. My hair is seriously thick, haha.

After about 20-30 minutes, the cut was done. Much tidier hair already.

The down perm, done after spraying scalp protectant first

Now came time to apply the down perm solution, but before that he sprayed on a scalp protectant. Nice touch. I've heard my scalp sting during down perms elsewhere before, but at this Bucheon men's hair salon, Ieum Men's Hair Bucheon City Hall Station Branch, my scalp didn't sting at all!

The down perm begins, section by section. As always, director Taeho is seriously meticulous. Carefully applying the perm solution...

Down perm solution applied to the other side and the top, done. I'm not exactly sure if he normally does heat treatment or not, but I think he skipped it for me this time since my hair was pretty damaged. (That's how damaged it was.) I really liked that he adjusted the treatment based on my hair's condition.

After the shampoo, meticulous Taeho evened out the length once more.
