I was looking for somewhere simple to grab lunch in Jamsil and ended up at Town Sandwich. It's close enough to Jamsil Station that office workers stop by on their lunch break or for a quick bite while resting. A good spot to visit when you just want to settle lunch with one sandwich.

Where do you park at Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch?

I visited by car and there was parking available, so it was easy to use — underground parking is possible. If you drive into the apartment and officetel parking area, you'll see a sign pointing toward the commercial section, and you just keep driving in that direction. Once you go down to the underground level, there are signs guiding you to the mall parking, so just follow those and park.

The interior was decorated overall in wood and beige tones, giving it a warm, cozy feel. One side has a full glass window, so it doesn't feel stuffy and soft sunlight filters in.

Seats for solo diners and what's on the menu

Along the wall there's a side table good for eating alone, plus about 3-4 tables that seat 2-4 people. There are also 2 outdoor tables for two, so on a nice day eating outside would be good too.

Looking at the menu, there was a wide range of sandwiches ready, including jambon-beurre and bánh mì. In particular there are several jambon-beurre options that are popular in Jamsil these days, and I heard they recently launched a new menu item, apple jambon-beurre. I was curious about the combination of apple and jambon-beurre, so I decided to try the apple jambon-beurre next time.

Ordering the basil jambon-beurre all-in-one set

What I ordered that day was the basil jambon-beurre, dippable cream soup, and ube espresso latte, decaf. Ordering the all-in-one set seemed to knock off about ₩2,000, and decaf was an extra ₩1,000.

First, the basil jambon-beurre — I loved the crispy texture of the baguette. The outside was crunchy, the inside chewy with a savory flavor, and the salty jambon paired with the fragrant basil made it clean and satisfying to eat. The baguette itself had such good texture that anyone looking for a Jamsil baguette would be happy with this.

What is the dippable cream soup like?

The cream soup that came alongside was smooth and savory. Dipping the bread into the warm soup, the crispiness of the baguette paired nicely with the softness of the cream soup. When I asked staff, they said the cream soup actually sells a bit better than the pumpkin soup.

Decaf ube espresso latte

The ube espresso latte had that distinctive gentle sweetness and nuttiness of ube, plus a bitter espresso note added on top — a different flavor from a regular latte. Being able to order it decaf was also a plus.

Group orders, prepayment credit and the prize draw

Town Sandwich also takes group orders, and apparently prepaying gets you extra bonus points. There was also a no-lose prize draw event running when I visited — the first-place prize was a sandwich set coupon, so it could be fun to try after your meal.

A good spot to stop by if you want a simple lunch near Jamsil Station or need a place for an office lunch break. Next time I'll have to come back to try the new apple jambon-beurre.
