3-person set menu for a wedding invite party in Jamsil: Hongkyojip
In short
Hongkyojip Jamsil is a tableside-grilled Korean BBQ restaurant in the Bangi-dong food alley near Jamsil Station in Songpa, Seoul. Visiting with friends for a wedding invitation gathering after booking a hall table on Naver Reservation, we ordered the 3-person gyo-set (pork belly, pork neck, skirt meat) for 99,000 won, added extra whole-scallion skirt meat, and finished with meat kimchi jjigae and gijran-bomb naengmyeon. With staff grilling every cut for you, it's an easy, relaxed spot to talk and eat at the same time.

Picking a spot near Jamsil Station for a wedding invitation gathering, I booked Hongkyojip, famous in the Bangi-dong food alley, since my friends love meat! It's a place where staff grill everything for you, the quality is amazing, and it's a genuinely solid pick for wedding invite meetups, work dinners, you name it :)

Location and parking
Hongkyojip is a BBQ restaurant tucked into the Bangi-dong food alley near Jamsil Station. It's close enough to walk from the station, so access was easy! Hongkyojip is also one of the Jamsil restaurants with parking — it's paid parking, and valet is available too.
First 60 minutes 3,000 won, additional charges 3,000 won per 60 minutes, max 4,000 won. Valet available for 2,000 won at Hyochang Plaza.
What was the atmosphere inside like?

The most important thing I looked at when choosing a spot near Jamsil Station for a wedding invite gathering was the interior atmosphere — even at a BBQ place, if it's too loud, chaotic, or not hygienic, it doesn't feel right when you're hosting, so I really did my homework.

Overall, Hongkyojip's interior has a clean, casual vibe!

Since I'd booked a hall table, the basic table setting was already nicely arranged when I arrived, which really gave off that 'hosting guests' feeling — clean and casual overall. They also do room reservations for 4 to 20 people, so it seems great not just for wedding invite meetups but for all kinds of gatherings and work dinners. (Room fee added separately)
Reservations and waiting

I booked a hall table for 4 through Naver Reservation, and it looks like Catch Table waitlisting is also available. Seeing that Friday evening reservations were fully booked, it confirmed I'd found a real Bangi-dong food alley favorite.
The set menu lineup (Hong-set · Gyo-set · Jip-set)

Hongkyojip has ✨set menus✨ that let you try a variety of distinctive cuts at once, not just individual meat items.
- Hong-set (pork belly + pork neck + jowl meat) — the most basic pork combo, great for 2 people who want a bit of everything
- Gyo-set (five-layer pork belly + pork neck + skirt meat) — good for 3 people who want to try more varied cuts beyond just pork belly, including skirt meat and skin
- Jip-set (pork belly + pork neck + jowl meat + whole-scallion skirt meat) — perfect for slightly larger groups or when you want to eat meat generously!

Each set has a slightly different cut lineup, so you can just pick based on your group size and taste.

Taste review — the basic table setting and self-serve bar

I was impressed with Hongkyojip from the neatly arranged basic table setting alone! Myeongi namul (wild garlic leaves), salad, gosari (fernbrake), baek-kimchi (white kimchi), pickled onions, wasabi, salt, ssamjang — such a variety of side dishes 👍🏻

The self-serve bar was also kept clean, so you could grab as much as you wanted.

Gyo-set, 99,000 won

We ordered the gyo-set since the three of us wanted to try various cuts. Five-layer pork belly, pork neck, and skirt meat! The cuts looked ridiculously thick just to look at, we couldn't help but go 'wow~'

They grilled the thick cuts of meat for us one by one, along with mushrooms and eggplant.
The biggest reason I picked Hongkyojip for a Jamsil wedding invite gathering! It's a BBQ place where staff grill everything deliciously for you, so you just sit back and chat comfortably while you eat.

✨✨✨ Take a look at this five-layer pork belly, cut into perfectly bite-sized pieces —

Hongkyojip's kicker: the meat sauce
The kicker at Hongkyojip Jamsil is this meat sauce. They gave us our first bite dipped deep into this accompanying sauce, telling us to try it, and it was so good. The chewy texture of the pork belly meeting that deep sauce!!!
It's also great with the gosari and bean sprouts.

The pork neck was thick yet not dry at all, full of juices. Tried it with wasabi and myeongi namul too~

We ordered a second round of whole-scallion skirt meat
The most distinctive cut, and the one my friends said was the tastiest — the whole-scallion skirt meat. There's a whole scallion inside the skirt meat, so you get this chewy meaty flavor soaked into a delicious scallion!

Eating several cuts at once meant we never got tired of it partway through, which I really liked. We ended up ordering another round of the whole-scallion skirt meat.
Meal dishes — meat kimchi jjigae and gijran-bomb naengmyeon
- Bomb egg steamed dish (review event)
- Meat kimchi jjigae (9,000 won)
- Gijran-bomb naengmyeon (7,000 won)

Once another friend joined us, we added on some meal dishes. Honestly, we were shocked at how generous the portions were for the price on both..!! The jjigae and naengmyeon were perfect for a light finish, and we cleaned up the kimchi too.

Premium pork across so many delicious cuts — pork belly, pork neck, skirt meat — plus meal dishes that were all tasty too. Wedding invite gathering successfully wrapped up!
Among the Jamsil Station / Bangi-dong pork belly and BBQ restaurants, I'd recommend Hongkyojip Jamsil, a tableside-grilled BBQ spot that's great for wedding invite gatherings or group dinners. Try their Hong/Gyo/Jip set menus, perfect for eating together with several people!
