Gangnam hair salon for red-free fall color: Anew Hair

Now that fall is here, the weather has been getting cooler and cooler ෆ Every time the season changes, I always want to switch up my hair color. My previous dye job had faded so much that the patchiness was showing, so I decided to even out the color and go for a toned-down shade to celebrate fall.

So I looked into hair coloring at Gangnam salons and found a place that does personalized color through personal hair consultations?! I already spend ages wondering which shade to choose every time I dye my hair, so customized color.. 🤍 I went in with very high expectations.

And after going, they gave me a tone-down color that suited me perfectly, so I could welcome fall more happily than ever haha.

Anew Hair Cheongdam Main Branch is near Gangnam-gu Office Station, so it’s easy to reach by public transit ✔️ There’s also parking on the building’s first floor. (If it’s full, use a nearby paid parking lot.) On Sundays, you can use the Korea Land & Housing Corporation parking lot for free, so I thought it would be convenient even for a weekend visit.

The building exterior was neat, and the interior was so clean and lush with greenery too. It felt like I was relaxing in nature in the middle of the city the whole time I had my hair done haha.

After storing my things, I was first shown to the consultation room for a hair consultation before coloring.

How does the pre-color hair consultation work?

Usually when you go in for color, they only ask what shade you want at the styling station. But as you’d expect from a place known for hair consultations in Gangnam, they asked me all sorts of detailed questions about my hair, from my scalp condition to the condition of my strands.

Senior director Soyoon also gave me a very detailed color consultation while looking at the reference photos I brought.. 🤍 It turns out she does a lot of wedding color too, so she had quite a lot of color references haha. After the consultation, we decided on a tone-down color with no red undertones but that wouldn’t be too dark.

The tone-down process for my patchy previous color

Haha,,, my hair condition was seriously something else,,, I didn’t realize it was this light and divided into so many different colors until I saw the photos. I was very shocked,,,

Coloring started right away! I have a really, really thick head of hair, but they worked carefully through every section haha.

While waiting for the color to develop, I had a cup of coffee the director prepared for me too.

To finish the color service, I got shampooed in the shampoo room. The scalp massage during the shampoo was honestly so nice—it felt like getting a head spa 🥰

Calm tone-down color results without red undertones

Drumroll—I checked out the color result.

Isn’t the color so calm and pretty? 🤍🤎 During the consultation, I said I wanted a tone-down shade without red undertones that wouldn’t be too dark, and it came out exactly the way I wanted haha.

I was especially worried because my faded previous color had left my hair several different shades, but they toned it down perfectly in a color that suited my skin tone, so I was even more satisfied.

The color looked pretty both under the lights and in natural light, so I’m looking forward to the coming fall. I came after searching for a Gangnam hair salon for color, and I’m completely satisfied 🤍
