With its upscale atmosphere and private rooms, it's a great choice not just for blind dates in Ansan but also for formal family meetings, first birthday parties, bridal showers, and other special occasions. Today I'll introduce That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge, a steak restaurant in Jungang-dong, Ansan, where we got to enjoy a relaxed meal in a lovely space.

Inside That Man's Italian: the dining room and the 18-seat private room
Stepping inside That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge, I immediately felt an upscale atmosphere. Soft lighting paired with moody interior design made it feel perfect for anniversaries and blind dates alike, and
the restaurant was spacious enough to seat up to 40 people, so it also seemed great for venue rentals, group gatherings, or small first-birthday parties.

There's also a private room on one side that seats up to 18 people, which would be great for people looking for a spot for a formal family meeting or a bridal shower.
Outside, there's an outdoor terrace space too, and apparently they plan to open terrace dining in the future!
That Man's Italian menu and prices
That Man's Italian's menu includes a full Italian course lineup along with steaks, salads, pastas, and risottos, and true to a nice-atmosphere restaurant, they had over 40 kinds of wine, which seemed perfect for pairing a glass with the meal.

In particular, every dish uses house-made sauces and is prepared according to authentic Italian cooking methods, which made me even more excited.

Starter bread with olive oil and balsamic
The bread that came out first as an appetizer was warm, as if it had just been freshly baked.

It was crisp outside and moist inside, so it was good plain, and dipping it into the olive oil and balsamic sauce added a mild aroma and tangy flavor that whet our appetite before the meal.
Meatball gratin, 20,900 won

The first dish served was the meatball gratin, plated neatly with baguette slices — it looked delicious just from the visuals.

Taking a bite, the tangy yet rich tomato sauce blended well with the savory melted cheese, and the hefty meatballs had a soft, moist texture with a nutty flavor that came through more the more I chewed.

Dipping the baguette into the sauce worked well too — the sauce was so good we scraped the plate clean!
Carbonara, 17,900 won

The second dish was the carbonara, with a soft, thick cream sauce carrying the savory flavor of cheese, plus the salty savoriness of bacon — overall a very rich, savory dish.

The pasta was cooked al dente, so it held its chewy texture without going mushy, and the sauce coated the noodles well without feeling overly heavy.
French rack lamb chop steak, 43,900 won

And the main dish of the day, the lamb chop steak, is made using only lamb under 12 months old — taking a bite, there was almost no gamey smell typical of lamb, just a clean yet deep flavor.

The meat wasn't chewy at all, it was tender and got more delicious the more I chewed — a dish that both lamb lovers and people who don't usually eat lamb could enjoy without hesitation.

As garnish, it came with grilled zucchini, mushrooms, and tomatoes, each roasted simply to bring out a fresh vegetable flavor that felt like it cleansed the palate — a nice pairing with the lamb.

I asked for it medium well, and the texture was just right — this lamb chop steak was up there with the best lamb I've had recently, and it was the most memorable dish of the meal!
