I heard that One & Only Hair combined its two former locations in Gwacheon Complex 3 and Jijeongta and relocated here. I drove over and parked in the basement of the newly built Sujain officetel. I asked to have my parking registered after my appointment, and it was free at the time. Since the building is new, its parking policy could change, so I recommend checking before visiting.

The salon is on basement level 1. Perhaps because two locations have been brought together in this newly relocated space, the interior was spacious, clean, and comfortable overall. As you would expect from a newly opened salon, the facilities were kept very clean, and I could relax throughout the appointment without feeling cramped or uncomfortable. I tend to consider a salon's atmosphere and comfort alongside the result itself, and I was pleased on that front.

A consultation that considered my habit of tying my hair up

That day, I had volume straightening with Senior Director Bom for about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Before starting, she carefully checked my current hair condition and how I normally care for it. When I mentioned that I often tie my hair up, she recommended a suitable length that would still be comfortable when tied. I liked that the consultation considered my everyday hairstyle rather than simply confirming the style I wanted.

Inward-curving C-curls at the ends

I have had volume straightening at several salons, but there are fewer places than you might think that make the ends naturally curl inward. This time, I asked for a C-curl feel like a setting perm. She straightened the overall shape neatly while letting the ends curve inward naturally. At other salons, another staff member may shampoo your hair or help with the straightening process midway through, but here Senior Director Bom personally handled everything from the consultation and shampoo to the service, from start to finish. Because one designer kept checking my hair throughout, I did not need to explain the style I wanted again halfway through, and the original consultation stayed consistent to the end. She also personally brought snacks and drinks during the appointment, which made the attentive service especially memorable.

If your hair is very wavy and you need regular straightening, I think natural volume and curls at the ends matter just as much as simply straightening it.
