Yongsan hair salon root touch-up after work: Oterre Namyeong

About a month and a half after coloring my hair, my roots were starting to bother me, so I stopped by Oterre Namyeong, a hair salon around Sookmyung Women's University and Namyeong, after work.

The treatment I had that day was a root touch-up + hair clinic! I was treated by stylist Euinam, and it cost ₩180,000.

A comfortable hair salon atmosphere at Oterre Namyeong

It is a hair salon just a short walk from Namyeong Station. Head up to the third floor of the building. (The stairs are steep, so take care!)

The atmosphere was distinctive as soon as I walked in. Hair salons these days often feel a little cold? But this one had something of an antique, grandma's-house vibe,, With wood-tone furniture, vintage objects dotted around, and soft lighting, it felt as cozy as being in a café.

Rather than the cold, bare feeling typical of hair salons, it felt warm and relaxing overall! I personally like this kind of atmosphere, so I loved it haha.

My roots had grown out quite a bit, so only the root area looked black overall, and it showed up pretty clearly in photos.. haha.

I was worried about the condition of my hair while getting the root touch-up, so I had a hair clinic at the same time. haha I try to hold out for a month and a half to two months between root touch-ups because it feels like my hair gets less damaged that way ^.^

The root touch-up and hair clinic process

While doing the root touch-up, they applied the hair clinic treatment to my hair and cared for it at the same time.

I visited on a weekday evening after work, so I was worried it would end late, but my stylist's hands were incredibly quick and it was over much sooner than I expected. A root touch-up + hair clinic took under an hour!

Since it is a one-person hair salon and one stylist takes care of you, I thought it would be a good option for a quick treatment after work or on a day when you do not have much time.

The result after matching my root color

The root touch-up result~~ They matched the root color so it flowed as naturally as possible into my original hair color, and my overall hair color definitely looked much more even. One tiny disappointing point was that a little of the original black hair remained around my sideburns,, Still, the color matched naturally overall, so I was satisfied.

From the front, the roots had disappeared completely. haha And perhaps because I had the hair clinic as well, my hair felt calmer afterward and easier to brush through.

I was satisfied overall after getting the root touch-up + hair clinic together!
