Extra-large mixed gukbap and dumplings for 27,000 won

What I ordered — mixed gukbap ₩10,000 / extra-large mixed gukbap ₩11,000 / dumplings ₩6,000, total ₩27,000

Side dishes served with the gukbap

As soon as I ordered, the side dishes were set out first :) Onion, chili peppers, garlic, thin noodles, doenjang (soybean paste), ssamjang (dipping sauce), dressed chives, diced radish kimchi, seasoned chili paste, salted shrimp, soy sauce, and dressed greens — just the side dishes you need to go with gukbap ☺️

Finally, the main dish arrives — the extra-large mixed gukbap~ It comes out boiling hot in a stone pot, so watch out 🔥 It was a milky, bone-broth-style soup^-^/

Mixed gukbap is a soup with a nice balance of meat, offal, and sundae (Korean blood sausage) mixed together haha

A shot of the whole spread with the gukbap and side dishes 📸 I ordered the extra-large size to make sure I got enough, but the portion was insane; it was so filling I nearly burst lol

Sweet and tangy dressed chives with the gukbap

The dressed chives at Myeongin Dwaeji Gukbap were genuinely sweet and tangy and delicious haha. Piling them on the gukbap makes it even better!!

It comes unseasoned by default, so you season it to your own taste! The sundae was also plump and chewy(?) and delicious 😋

Meat and offal pieces in the gukbap

The meat and offal had no gamey smell at all, and the meat wasn't too fatty — exactly my style ☺️

A spoonful of lean meat and offal with little fat

Adding the thin noodles made it feel like meat noodle soup 😆 I thought about eating more, but only had one bundle then stopped~ (Since I ordered extra-large, I figured I'd have leftovers anyway haha)

I loaded it up with seasoned chili paste, dressed chives, salted shrimp, and pepper and ate it right to the end 🤭 The rice had a glutinous, chewy texture~

The sundae was so good I almost wished I'd ordered sundae gukbap instead..^^ When you bite in, the sundae casing pops in your mouth, and dipping it in ssamjang was also amazingly tasty 😋

Self-serve side dish corner and the dumplings

Use the self-serve corner for more side dishes~ I went back for more diced radish kimchi and dressed chives haha.

I also ordered dumplings to eat alongside! Piping hot, freshly made meat dumplings 🔥 They went great with the gukbap too :)

Restrooms and the icy cold coffee for dessert

Myeongin Dwaeji Gukbap has separate men's and women's restrooms inside the restaurant, and for dessert offers not just hot instant coffee but chilled iced coffee too.

I couldn't get a photo of the restroom, but it was separated by gender inside the restaurant and felt clean ✨️ Nice touch that they even had hand wash and hand cream 👍

I thought there'd only be hot instant coffee, but they had cool, refreshing iced coffee for dessert too..🫢 I couldn't resist and scooped myself a cup — sweet and refreshing 👍 A gukbap meal finished off nicely with iced coffee :)
