Changwon bar for grill-your-own beef tataki: Oyat-ri

Recently, I wanted to have dinner somewhere with a nice atmosphere, so I looked around nearby! When I eat alone, the restaurant’s atmosphere and whether it has a table where I can dine solo are the most important things to me! That is how I found Oyat-ri Seokdong Branch!

One of the things I liked most when I visited was the evening atmosphere! Rather than being overly bright, the lighting was soft, which made it feel even more atmospheric! Maybe because I visited at night, the ambience felt especially pretty! Food is very important to me, of course, but I also really value the mood and interior you feel as soon as you walk into a restaurant, and I loved Oyat-ri Seokdong Branch for exactly that!

One side of the interior was decorated so beautifully, too. It had lovely objects and a mood-setting turntable! As someone who really loves this kind of vintage sensibility, it was a space where I enjoyed looking at every little detail! It was clean and had such a nice atmosphere, so it was fun to look around while waiting for the food.

Can I bring a group or get takeout?

I also really liked that group visits and takeout are possible! There is group seating in the restaurant, so it seems like it would be great for a family gathering or work dinner, and since takeout is available, I thought it would be nice to enjoy at home as well! Parking and valet parking are available too, so it seems especially convenient if you are driving. And since private rental is possible, I would recommend it when you need to dine with a larger group!

The dishes I tried were the maekbanseok plate tataki and custard pudding.

I could not drink beer, but just from the look of it, I thought a beer with a generous head of foam would pair wonderfully with this meal.

The maekbanseok plate tataki was served with onion and salchisal (beef chuck flap) on a heated maekbanseok stone! There was quite a lot more meat than I expected, which I personally really liked! It was my first time trying tataki, and it was so delicious with the meat, onion, and garlic chives together—the combination was just perfect!

There were sauces on the side too, so it was easy to dip it according to your taste! I like lightly seasoned flavors, so I did not use the sauce, but even its aroma smelled so delicious! Above all, having the maekbanseok stone made it fun to eat! I grilled the meat little by little on the stone beside me, and I loved being able to cook it just as lightly as I wanted! Rather than eating meat that had been fully cooked from the start, grilling it bit by bit to my liking made it even more fun!

This is a menu item I really want to recommend! I am a huge dessert lover, so I really enjoy having something sweet after a meal! The pudding I tried this time was personally so sweet and delicious! It is made in-house, and from the very first bite, it was wonderfully sweet and tasty!

It was topped with nuts as well, and the combination of sweet pudding and nuts was so good! I loved the pairing of the smooth pudding and nutty nuts, and the nuts added a nice bite to the soft pudding, which made me even happier! Most of all, I loved that it came with plenty of syrup! Since I like sweet desserts, the generous amount of syrup was exactly my kind of thing! It is great as a palate cleanser after a meal, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves dessert!

A good place for easy conversation in Jinhae

Oyat-ri Seokdong Branch has its original location in Masan and newly opened in Jinhae to offer better service, so if you are looking for an atmospheric bar or restaurant in Jinhae, I think it is worth a visit! It is great for spending time chatting casually with friends, and I really recommend it for a special day or a date with your partner too! With its wonderful mood and pretty interior, I can see why so many people mention Oyat-ri when looking for a hot spot in Jinhae!
