Lip semi-permanent makeup in Seocho, Seoul for dark lips: Lamoon Brow

When I was not wearing makeup, my lip color looked dull, and keeping up with lip makeup every morning was inconvenient. I wanted to brighten my tone naturally, like my own lips, so I received lip semi-permanent makeup for the first time at Lamoon Brow (라문브로우) in Gangnam.

Where is Lamoon Brow, and how do reservations work?

The studio is in Room 412 on the fourth floor of Hyundai Girim Officetel, 42 Seocho-daero 78-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul. According to the original post, it is a two-minute walk from Exit 5 of Gangnam Station. It operates strictly by advance reservation through its KakaoTalk channel, and the information said paid building parking and mechanical parking are available.

What were the studio atmosphere and pre-treatment guidance like?

When I entered, the clean interior caught my eye. Since this was my first lip semi-permanent makeup treatment, I had some concerns, but seeing the space put me a little more at ease.

I was also given precautions before the treatment. The studio advised against using spray-type skincare products or facial mist, and said to wear light eye makeup because it could smudge during the treatment and cleansing.

How did I choose a color for dark lips?

Before the treatment, my lip line was indistinct and I had pigmentation. My lip tone was dark, so I also felt that I looked tired without makeup.

During the one-on-one personal color consultation, I was told that I am spring warm. They selected a color by considering not only my skin tone, but also my lip shape and the overall balance of my features.

I was also told that my existing lips had fairly pronounced dark lip pigmentation. I liked that the process of choosing the color took my natural lip tone into account as well.

What were the treatment process and coral result like?

After checking the design first, a pain-relief cream was applied. I felt comfortable during the treatment without worrying about pain. I also felt reassured that the studio said it uses disposable tools as a principle.

The finished color was a coral shade that suited my warm tone. Even on my bare face, the lip color did not look artificial, and my complexion looked more lively with only lip balm.

What aftercare guidance did I receive?

After the treatment, I was given ointment and lip balm and told that moisturizing and hygiene were important. I was advised to apply a moderate amount of lip balm rather than too much, let any flaking come off naturally instead of pulling at it, avoid spicy foods, and keep the area around my lips clean.

I had many concerns because it was my first lip semi-permanent makeup treatment, but I liked the coral color and line chosen by considering both my skin tone and existing lip color. I was satisfied because it gave me the natural brightening effect I had wanted.
