After running errands in Gangnam, I got a craving for spicy jjamppong and headed to Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch! Every single dish was delicious, so here's the full rundown — from the vibe of the place to the food — for anyone hunting for a Chinese restaurant for lunch near Yeoksam Station.
Where is Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch and how do you get there?
Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch is at 21 Teheran-ro 10-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 2nd floor of Semyeong Plaza Building B. It's open 10:00–22:00, takes groups and reservations, and has parking plus an indoor restroom.
It's on the 2nd floor of the building! The name is printed big on the exterior, so the sign was easy to spot from the street. Don't get confused with the shop on the 1st floor — just head up through the right side of the building!

Inside, there are sofa-style seats and regular chair seats, with an order screen at every table. The table setup felt like a good fit for splitting a meal with a group, which made me think of it for lunch with coworkers haha. There was a self-serve corner on one side with pickled radish, jjachai (pickled mustard greens), kimchi, onion, small plates, and a ladle — and hair ties too, such a thoughtful touch..
Soy sauce and seasonings were also neatly set up on the table! Ready to eat.
The visuals are amazing.. We ordered jjamppong, fried rice, and sticky rice sweet and sour pork!
Jijon jjamppong, 13,000 won: the broth and the noodles
The Jijon Jjamppong at Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch is ₩13,000. Has Jjamppong Jijon's jjamppong always been this good..? The broth was spicy and rich and the noodles were chewy, so even I, someone who usually can't finish jjamppong, cleaned the whole bowl that day!
With jjamppong, the broth matters, but chewy noodles that don't break apart are seriously important too!!! It'd be great to come here when looking for a solo lunch spot near Yeoksam Station. If my office were nearby, I feel like I'd come here all the time... 👏🏻👏🏻
Crab fried rice, 11,000 won: for noodle fans and rice fans alike
Crab fried rice is ₩11,000. I wanted something filling too, so we ordered the fried rice! The colors are so vibrant it looks super appetizing.
The fried rice was nutty and delicious too, so choosing a rice dish alongside the jjamppong was a great call,,💛 I liked that even if people in your group split between noodle-fans and rice-fans, everyone can pick what they actually want haha.
Sticky rice sweet and sour pork, 20,000 won: thick and chewy
Sticky rice sweet and sour pork is ₩20,000. You could stop at just jjamppong and fried rice, but it's hard to pass on sweet and sour pork at a Chinese restaurant, right,, It came with the fried pork and sauce served separately, plus thinly sliced onion on the side.
Everything we had that day was delicious, but ordering the sticky rice sweet and sour pork alongside was extremely satisfying! The meat was thick and had such a chewy texture, so good ㅠㅠ Bite of noodles, bite of rice, then some sweet and sour pork on top — the meal felt so much more varied!!! It wasn't just one dish out of the three that was good — all three were delicious, so this was a really satisfying visit!!!

After the meal, there were even finishing drinks! Yuja tea and blue lemonade. Refreshing and clean, great for cleansing the palate ㅎ.ㅎ I liked it so much I snapped a photo mid-drink 😂
