Gangnam burger spot with eggplant fries: Daily Fix chicken burger

In short

Daily Fix Gangnam Main Branch is an American-style burger restaurant five minutes on foot from Yeoksam Station Exit 3 in Gangnam, Seoul. Three of us ordered the chicken burger (11,900 won), bacon cheeseburger (12,900 won), chili cheese fries and eggplant fries, comparing the crisp-outside, juicy-inside whole thigh meat chicken burger with both sides — and one side alone would have been plenty for three. If you want a heavy, properly American burger in Gangnam, Daily Fix is the answer.

Signature burger image from Daily Fix Gangnam Main Branch

There are so many burger joints in Gangnam these days it's hard to pick where to go, right? But when you actually go... they never quite hit that heavy American flavor, and you end up disappointed every time hahaha ㅠㅠ

Still, I'm a burger lover so I've been diligently checking off spot after spot, and I finally found a genuinely heavy, American-style burger place worth recommending!!!!

A burger spot picked by someone who really knows their food, Kang Min-kyung's pick — more American than America!!! The kind of taste that clogs your arteries!!!!

Let me introduce it right away!!!

Let's get into the honest review~

What the exterior and interior look like

Daily Fix Gangnam Main Branch has a storefront with an eye-catching yellow sign, giving off strong straight-from-America vibes. There's a variety of seating, from outdoor terrace tables to sofa group seats.

The interior actually feels more stylish than the exterior, and with so many seating options, it seems like a great burger spot near Yeoksam Station where you can just walk in and eat without waiting when you're hungry.

A burger spot made by chefs who came from Michelin 3-star and 2-star restaurants in New York

Store detail referencing the chef's Michelin background in New York

Apparently the burgers are made by a chef who used to work at a Michelin 3-star restaurant in New York~? That probably explains the strong American vibe of the store — now I'm super curious how American the burgers actually taste!!!!

Chicken burger, 11,900 won: how does the whole thigh meat taste?

The Daily Fix chicken burger (₩11,900) doesn't use dry chicken breast — it's made with whole thigh meat. It's about the size of your face, and ordering it when you're hungry feels as filling as a whole bowl of samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup).

The burger is literally the size of my face hahahaha

Order it when you're hungry and it really does feel as filling as a whole bowl of samgyetang, no joke.

Fried whole thigh meat inside the chicken burger

Not dry chicken breast at all!!!! Crispy outside, juicy inside thigh meat, no joke

Close-up of crispy-outside, juicy-inside thigh meat chicken

You have to really chomp into it, but if the coating is too crunchy it scrapes up the roof of your mouth — luckily the chicken here is moist and tender while the breading stays thin and crisp, so it's easy to eat.

The tender chicken has no toughness at all, and it's salty with deep flavor — exactly like the rich taste you'd get at an American deli.

Bacon cheeseburger, 12,900 won: whole-cut bacon inside

The Daily Fix bacon cheeseburger is ₩12,900, and it's the menu item that Kang Min-kyung reportedly raved about. Instead of thin supermarket bacon, it's made with handmade whole-cut bacon.

No paper-thin supermarket bacon here — it's handmade whole-cut bacon

I was imagining the thin bacon you get at McDonald's, but it actually came with whole-cut bacon!

Patty cross-section showing whole-cut bacon and melted cheese

No vegetables, just the real deal — heavy American-style burger flavor

The sight of melted cheese and crisply grilled bacon between a thick beef patty is insane — you take a big bite of the patty and the juices burst in your mouth with rich flavor washing over you... ㅑ.. insanely good🔥🔥🔥

If you've eaten plenty of Hanwoo (Korean beef) patty burgers and always felt something was missing, try this thick, juice-bursting patty at Daily Fix!!

Chili cheese fries vs eggplant fries: which side should you order?

We ordered the sides separately: chili cheese fries at ₩11,900 and eggplant fries at ₩12,900. There's a set menu too, but you can't swap in chili cheese fries with the set ㅠㅠ

Chili cheese fries at Daily Fix

Chili cheese fries piled high with cheese sauce

The fries come piled high with chili made from ground meat and a generous layer of cheese sauce.

Fries covered in chili and cheese sauce

The cheese sauce is really thickly layered. The chili is salty, but the cheese balances it out nicely!!

Lifting up the cheese sauce on the chili cheese fries

Wow, this cheese... it's seriously the kind of cheese that clogs your arteries hahaha, but it's so good ㅠ

Eggplant fries at Daily Fix

A plate of Daily Fix eggplant fries

The eggplant fries come as fried eggplant sticks lightly dusted with what looks like red paprika powder, or maybe chili powder?

Close-up of the fried eggplant sticks

The batter is crispy while the eggplant inside is soft, and the eggplant juice spreads through your mouth — crispy outside, juicy inside, absolutely nuts ㅠ There were three of us and we ordered 3 burgers and 2 sides, but honestly ordering just 1 side would've been plenty — the portions were huge.

Chili cheese fries vs eggplant fries — chili cheese fries win!!

If you have to pick just one side, I'd recommend the chili cheese fries~!

Final verdict and who Daily Fix suits

If you're looking for a genuinely American, artery-clogging burger, Daily Fix is number one in Gangnam
