Kid-friendly beer bar in Incheon with pizza: Incheon Beer Tiger

Incheon's historic port district (Gaehangjang) is full of alleys worth wandering, and once you start you end up staying way longer than planned haha. We were out with our kid exploring the area and stopped by Incheon Beer Tiger for dinner and a beer break. Since we were in Incheon, we had to try beer actually brewed in Incheon!

Incheon Beer Tiger is a Sinpo-dong bar where you can pair pizza and tteokbokki with Incheon beer, and on show nights you can even catch a live band. We ordered pizza, tteokbokki, Incheon beer and orange juice — the adults drank beer while our kid had a drink and food alongside, which made it a pretty easy stop for a family outing.

Where is Incheon Beer Tiger, and where do you park?

Incheon Beer Tiger sits on the first floor of Building H at Incheon Art Platform. It's about a 5-minute walk from Incheon Station toward Jungbu Police Station, making it an easy stop after wandering the port district and Chinatown.

The Incheon Art Platform parking lot runs from 9 AM to 6 PM. Parking costs ₩1,000 for the first 30 minutes, then ₩500 every 15 minutes after that. Instead of that lot, you can use the free roadside public parking area uphill from Incheon Beer Tiger, or park in a nearby alley if you're visiting after 4 PM.

A rest stop while walking the open-port district alleys

When you visit the port district, there are pretty buildings to see and plenty to explore in the alleys. Walking around with our kid, we started getting hungry and craving a cold beer. That's exactly when Incheon Beer Tiger comes in handy.

Rather than a spot just for drinking, it has food kids love like pizza and tteokbokki, plus drink options for non-drinkers, so it was nice to sit and rest together. There's even a performance stage inside, giving it a different vibe from a typical pub.

You can just enjoy the food and beer, or on performance days you can catch live music in the same space. Notably, it has four JBL 4344 speakers, known as premium equipment, installed — so even without a live show, the sound felt as vivid as a real performance. Music lovers would probably enjoy the space's charm even on a day without a show.

We ordered pizza and tteokbokki. We went in for a casual beer, but both dishes were so good we left happily full too.

There's even a term for pizza-and-beer pairing in Korean — the combo is unbeatable, right?! Pizza is easy to share, so it's a great choice when visiting with a group too haha.

Sharing pizza with our kid while the adults had beer meant we didn't have to agonize over separate menu choices.

Sometimes when you get hungry mid-outing, you don't want a big meal, just something simple to snack on while resting. This combo fit that perfectly.

The tteokbokki was tasty too. A bite of pizza, then a bite of tteokbokki — we kept reaching for both dishes.

The rice cakes in the tteokbokki actually had cheese inside, which our cheese-obsessed kid absolutely loved. Taste and spice level can feel different for everyone, but

if you're looking for a Sinpo-dong bar where the food selection matters as much as the drinks, having menu options like these is a welcome plus.

One Incheon beer for me, orange juice for my child

Incheon Beer Tiger, a Sinpo-dong favorite, has a variety of craft beers. Since it was our first time trying Incheon beer, we ordered a glass. If you're from Incheon, you've gotta drink Incheon beer!

Part of the fun of traveling is trying food or beer named after the local area. Drinking Incheon beer in Incheon after soaking in the port district scenery felt really special haha.

We ordered orange juice for our kid. Whenever we visit a pub, the first thing I check is whether there's a drink for kids, and having orange juice on the menu meant we could even do a toast together haha.

On days when the kid needs dinner and the adults want a beer, it's great to be able to each pick your own drink and share pizza and tteokbokki in the same space~ haha.

On the day we visited, a Moonlight Market happened to be going on. With outdoor tables available, it was great enjoying food and beer while taking in the evening atmosphere of the port district. Resting a bit over pizza and tteokbokki, then heading back out to browse the market again, worked out well too.

Why we missed the live show

Incheon Beer Tiger also hosts live band performances, but we couldn't wait until show time to actually see the stage. Our kid wanted to go back outside and play rather than sit still, so we left a bit early after finishing our food.

The vibe was great and the food was delicious, so it's a bit of a shame we didn't stay longer to catch the show. Next time, maybe the adults will come without the kids, take it a little slower, and enjoy a beer while listening to live music. A place where a band performs right in front of you while you eat and drink — isn't that reason enough to visit?!

We missed the show, but between the tasty food, the Incheon beer, and the Moonlight Market atmosphere outside, it was still a good evening.
