Hadan, Busan restaurant with a 10-dish lunch set: Yukganmyeongga
In short
Yukganmyeongga is a Korean set-menu and clay-oven lotus leaf rice restaurant on the second floor in front of the Garaktown apartments in Hadan, Saha-gu, Busan. A Naver-reserved lunch of the clay-oven lotus leaf rice and pork galbi set came as a generous 10-dish spread, with mild, sticky lotus leaf rice and tender galbi in a seasoning that is never harsh. With the entire ground floor given over to parking, Yukganmyeongga is an easy choice for family gatherings or a first meeting between in-laws.

I'd been wanting proper Korean food in Hadan for a while, so I headed to Yukganmyeongga. It does set-menu Korean meals and clay-oven lotus leaf rice, and it's apparently famous for hosting big family occasions like 70th birthdays and matchmaking meetings. It's near my place so I always wondered about it whenever I passed by — this time I wanted Korean food for lunch, so I booked ahead on Naver Reservation and went!
Where is Yukganmyeongga, and where do you park?
Yukganmyeongga is on the 2nd floor at 270 Hasinjungang-ro, right in front of the Garaktown apartments in Hadan. The whole ground floor of the building is a big parking lot, so there's no worry about parking even if you drive over — a real plus.

It's about a 10-minute walk from Sinpyeong Station or Hadan Station. Probably because parking is so convenient, a lot of family gatherings, matchmaking meetings, and group meals happen here too.

Inside Yukganmyeongga: private rooms for in-law meetings and business lunches
Walking into Yukganmyeongga, the whole place felt clean and calm. It had that comfortable, quiet feel typical of a Korean restaurant, which made it a nice spot for a meal, and the tables were spaced generously for relaxed dining.

If you're in Saha, Busan looking for a place to eat with family or have a meal with your parents, this kind of atmosphere would work really well.
There are quite a few private rooms too, so group gatherings are possible, and since they're quiet and private, it seemed like a lot of formal occasions — matchmaking meetings, business meetings — happen here as well.

Yukganmyeongga's menu, from a simple lunch to the Myeongpumsang set
The menu had a wide range of Korean dishes including pork galbi and grilled fish, and I ordered the clay-oven lotus leaf rice pork galbi set. There are simpler options for lunch, plus premium set courses — Ilpumsang, Jinpumsang, Myeongpumsang — suited to important occasions like matchmaking meetings!
What comes with the 10-dish clay-oven lotus leaf rice and pork galbi set

After ordering, the dishes started arriving one by one. True to a 10-dish spread, the table filled up fast — it looked hearty just to look at!

Various banchan (side dishes) came out together — different kinds of kimchi, japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), salad, seasoned vegetables. It all came out neat and tidy, giving that treated-well feeling too.
How the lotus leaf rice tastes: lotus root, beans and nuts, sticky like yakbap
First, the lotus leaf rice! It came neatly wrapped in a lotus leaf, so there was fun in unwrapping it. Once opened, there was a faint, pleasant lotus leaf aroma, and the rice itself was mild and easy to eat without feeling heavy.

It's packed with healthy ingredients like lotus root, beans, and nuts — sticky like yakbap (sweet rice), and delicious even eaten on its own!

How the seasoned pork galbi tastes: light smoky char, never chewy
And then the galbi (short ribs), the real star of the set that day! The seasoning had soaked in well, so it went great with rice.

Big, generous pieces of galbi came out, with a faint smoky char and seasoning that wasn't too intense — really good.
The fat content was just right too, and you could tell it was tender the moment I cut it with scissors. Not chewy at all, so I enjoyed it a lot.

Wrapping it in the accompanying lettuce and mixing in the banchan in between made for a pretty filling meal. The lotus rice was tasty on its own, but with so many varied side dishes and good galbi too, I felt like kids or grandparents alike would love this place.
Is Yukganmyeongga worth it for lunch in Hadan, Busan?

I visited Yukganmyeongga craving a neat, proper Korean meal in Hadan. The lotus rice galbi set I ordered let me enjoy both galbi and lotus rice together, and it was personally a satisfying choice. The galbi paired well with rice, and the lotus rice was mild with a subtle aroma that went nicely with the seasoned galbi too.
Above all, eating it as a full spread with various banchan felt heartier than just eating meat alone! If you're looking for Hadan restaurants, Hadan set-menu Korean food, or Hadan galbi, Yukganmyeongga is worth remembering as a place for a clean, satisfying meal. I saw a lot of people ordering the clay-oven grilled fish too — next time I visit, I'd like to try other Korean dishes on the menu :)
