I went to Yukganmyeongga (육간명가), a Korean restaurant in Hadan, Busan that's great for taking parents out to eat — highly recommend it for a family meal 😎 I'll share the exact location right below.

Where is Yukganmyeongga, and what about parking and hours?

Yukganmyeongga is on the 2nd floor of 270 Hasinjungang-ro, Saha-gu, Busan, open daily from 11:00 to 22:00. Last order is 21:00 daily, and about 30 cars can park on the building's ground floor.

Pilotis-structure ground floor parking area

The building has a pilotis structure so the entire ground floor is parking. On weekends, you can apparently also park at Hadan Battery next door.

Outside: a Korean set-menu restaurant on the whole second floor

They use the entire 2nd floor as one space.

Yukganmyeongga and Deodeokmyeongga are actually the same restaurant — apparently they use two names. Today we enjoyed the wood-fired lotus-leaf rice from the 12-dish bansang 👍🏻

Elevator leading up to the 2nd-floor restaurant

There's an elevator, so it's easy for elderly visitors or anyone with mobility issues to get up there. Whenever I'm taking my parents or grandparents out to eat or for coffee, I always check whether there's an elevator haha.

Inside Yukganmyeongga: partitioned seats, group tables and private rooms

Spacious, clean interior of the Yukganmyeongga hall

The interior was spacious and clean — it felt like the kind of Korean restaurant families come to a lot for meals out. I imagine nearby office workers come here for company dinners too.

Hall seating divided by partitions

Even though it's an open hall, there are spaces divided by partitions, so you get a sense of privacy even in the main hall.

There were also seats set up for group gatherings.

There are also private rooms, which apparently get used a lot for meeting-the-in-laws dinners.

Sign noting banners provided for birthdays and 60th birthday celebrations

They even provide banners for birthdays, 60th, 70th, and 80th birthday celebrations, so it's a great restaurant to take your parents to on their birthday 🙌🏻

What comes with the wood-fired pork galbi set for two and the 12-dish bansang?

We ordered the wood-fired pork galbi (short rib) set for two 🙂

Barley tea served as the default drink

Instead of plain water, they serve barley tea.

The 12-dish bansang arrived — with the pork galbi as the main dish, it looked good enough for a birthday spread too 👍🏻

Wood-fired pork galbi served on a hot stone plate

The pork galbi came on a hot stone plate so it wouldn't get cold, so we could eat it warm until the end of the meal.

Lotus-leaf rice cooked in the wood-fired oven

The lotus-leaf rice was delicious too — the harmony with all the nutritious ingredients mixed in was so good that the rice alone was tasty.

Dessert at Yukganmyeongga: ice cream and affogato

For dessert, there was ice cream and coffee.

You can just have the ice cream cone on its own, or pour espresso over it in a special paper cup to make an affogato.

Final verdict: is Yukganmyeongga good for a family meal with parents?

I visited Yukganmyeongga, a restaurant that's great for taking parents to in Hadan, Busan — parking was easy, and both the main dish and all the side dishes were delicious, so we ate until we were stuffed 🙂 Since it's not one big open hall, you can focus on the meal and conversation, and with the neat 12-dish bansang and lotus-leaf rice, why not visit for a family meal or a special occasion?
