A large Sokcho café where it is easy to relax with Ulsanbawi in view
If you are looking for a café while traveling in Sokcho, I would love to recommend Cafe Neorae (카페너래), which I visited this time. Sokcho has so many pretty cafés, but this is one where you can really enjoy the natural scenery! Cafe Neorae, known for its Ulsanbawi view, caught my eye.
We stopped by while looking for somewhere to take a break during our Sokcho trip, and the café was much larger and more comfortable than we had expected, so we were very pleased :)

The biggest draw of Cafe Neorae is definitely the Ulsanbawi view! I loved being able to comfortably look at Ulsanbawi, one of Seoraksan's signature sights in Sokcho, from inside the café.

With its floor-to-ceiling windows, the outdoor scenery pours right into the room. Sipping coffee while taking in the spectacular Seoraksan landscape somehow made the feeling of being on a trip even stronger, haha.

I think it would be even prettier on a day with great weather.

The café itself is also a large Sokcho café, with plenty of seating and lots of room, so it never felt cramped. It looked great for a date, for stopping by on a family trip, or for a group gathering or a rest stop during a trip.

Ordering a Neorae Latte, Watermelon Kok Juice, and bread
After thinking over the menu for a while, we ordered a Neorae Latte, Watermelon Kok Juice, potato bread, and chocolate shell bread.

The Neorae Latte, best sipped straight away
First, the Cafe Neorae signature menu item I was most curious about: the Neorae Latte!

They say the key with the Neorae Latte is to sip it as it is rather than mixing it from the start.

It is a signature drink combining smooth cream with the nutty flavor of biji (ground soybean pulp). On my first sip, the creamy flavor came through first, followed by a subtle, distinctive nuttiness from the biji, and it was delicious.

Rather than feeling overly rich or heavy, it was subtly sweet and nutty, so I think it would suit anyone who enjoys lattes. I especially love soft, sweet latte-style drinks, so I really enjoyed it, haha.
Watermelon Kok Juice for a hot day
Since it was a hot day, we also ordered the Watermelon Kok Juice!

With watermelon’s cool, sweet flavor and ice cream mixed in, it was even more refreshing.

When you are traveling, you walk a lot and the weather can be hot, so having one cool drink like this makes you unbelievably happy, haha. I would recommend it as a summer menu choice for watermelon lovers!

Potato bread and chocolate shell bread, perfect with drinks
The potato bread and chocolate shell bread we ordered for dessert were better than expected, too.

Coffee alone felt a little incomplete, so we ordered bread as well, and both were delicious with the drinks. If you want a simple dessert during a Sokcho trip, pairing one drink with one bread item would be nice.
Convenient facilities for stopping by with children
Beyond the drinks and desserts, I also liked that Cafe Neorae was well equipped with convenient facilities.

Parking was fairly easy, and there were high chairs for families visiting with babies as well as conveniences such as a microwave, so it seemed quite handy for people traveling around Sokcho with children.
When you are visiting Sokcho on a family trip and looking for a good café to rest at for a while, these details matter more than you might think, haha.

Most of all, the café was spacious and comfortable, so it seemed like a relatively easy place to spend time even with a baby.
Taking in the Ulsanbawi view over a cup of coffee
And of course, what I remember most was the Ulsanbawi view from inside the café!

It is wonderful to go see Seoraksan or Ulsanbawi while traveling in Sokcho, but I think sitting in a café and taking it in leisurely over a cup of coffee has a charm all its own, too.

If you are looking for a large café with a nice atmosphere in Sokcho, a Sokcho café with an Ulsanbawi view, a café with a great view in Sokcho, or a Seoraksan-view café, I think Cafe Neorae is worth a visit :)

With beautiful natural scenery plus delicious drinks and desserts, it was the perfect place to take a leisurely break during a Sokcho trip!

We ate tasty things, admired the beautiful view to our hearts' content, and made another lovely memory in Sokcho! If you are wondering which café to visit during your Sokcho trip, I recommend Cafe Neorae, where you can have a cup of coffee while looking at Ulsanbawi.
