Seongsu café with mango ice cream and outdoor seats: Mellows

Mellows near Seoul Forest

Mellows is a lovely little café right near Seoul Forest! It’s hugely popular for ice cream, so I stopped by while I was in the Seoul Forest area 😊

Mellows is right by Ttukseom Station, and it’s also relatively close to Seongsu Station and Seoul Forest Station! It’s on the first floor of this brick building, which gives it such a nice atmosphere 🤎 There are outdoor seats too, so eating outside on a nice day feels extra charming!! We visited on a pleasantly cool day and sat outside ourselves ☺️

Outdoor and indoor seating

You order and pay at the counter inside, and the menu is displayed around the window. There are a few seats inside and outside! With only a few indoor seats and three or four outdoor ones, it may be hard to find a seat at peak times. Still, everything comes neatly packed in containers, so it’s easy to enjoy while walking around 😉 The outdoor tables and chairs were all kept very clean, too. The street isn’t especially noisy, so it was quite comfortable—and I really loved eating outside :) The owner was also incredibly kind 👐

The interior was decorated in warm wood tones with a lovely vibe 🍂 From tables for two to bar seating, it looks comfortable for both dates and solo café time ♡

The menu and our desserts

Have a look at the menu and prices~~ There’s everything from coffee and non-coffee drinks to ice cream! More than anything, aren’t the prices so affordable compared with typical Seongsu prices? 😮 It’s perfect for a great-value dessert, haha. They’re open late, and I also spotted several alcoholic drinks on the evening menu.

For ice cream, there are fruit flavors (mango, strawberry, and peach) and basic flavors (matcha, peanut butter, affogato, deep chocolate, and milk). Best of all, it’s Sangha Farm milk ice cream! Love that 💗

Our order came out quickly! It looked amazing from the start ✨️ For this amount and quality at those prices, it really is such good value 🥰

Deep chocolate and mango ice cream

Since both are made with Sangha Farm milk ice cream, the ice cream itself was deep, rich, gently sweet, and so delicious 🤍 The deep chocolate ice cream had lots of toppings: cookie pieces like Loly Poly, plenty of chocolate sauce, and crushed peanuts! There was cereal at the bottom too, adding a nice crunch 🫶 The chocolate sauce was generous but not overly rich or cloying—just perfect 🍫 So good, highly recommended!! 👍👍

Kungjwi’s mango ice cream was also delicious, with lots of fresh mango that was sweet and tangy 💛 She said its refreshing tang made it perfect as a dessert after a meal! This one gets a strong recommendation too 👍👍

A rich deep chocolate latte

Next, the deep chocolate latte! True to its name, it had lots of chocolate and rich milk, but it wasn’t heavy—just nicely sweet and delicious 🤎 As a total chocolate lover who enjoys a rich chocolate latte, this was the best 💕 If you love chocolate, I highly recommend this too 👍👍!

Mellows is a charming Seoul Forest café where you can enjoy quality, great-value desserts made with Sangha Farm milk ice cream and a variety of toppings! The outdoor seating had such a lovely atmosphere 💝 The ice cream was seriously delicious, haha. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a Ttukseom Station ice cream spot, Seongsu desserts, Seoul Forest desserts, a stylish Seongsu café, or a Ttukseom café with a great atmosphere 👍👍 Please make sure to stop by at least once~!!
