Group dinner at a Siheung shellfish BBQ: buldak sauce scallops

I was craving grilled shellfish so I looked around for where to go, and ended up at Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch.

I thought only the shellfish was unlimited refill, but the meat is too....!!😘😘 When I got there it was seriously packed. Families, couples, groups of friends — all kinds of people, and the place was buzzing.

Open weekdays 17:00–24:00, weekends 13:00–24:00, closed every Monday (open if Monday falls on a public holiday).

Adult price is ₩35,900, elementary school kids ₩21,900, preschoolers ₩6,000. Switching to steamed shellfish adds ₩4,000 per table.

It's a self-serve setup where you pick out the shellfish you want and bring it over yourself. I really liked being able to choose only what I wanted to eat.

How fresh was the shellfish delivered straight from the coast?

There were several kinds of shellfish prepared — scallops, giant clams, abalone and more — all shipped fresh from the source. I worried that with all-you-can-eat the shellfish quality might not be great, but they were actually really fresh. Since they're sourced daily, even the shellfish in the tanks looked good, and once grilled there was no fishy smell or muddy taste at all. Grilled shellfish really does need fresh ingredients to taste good, and this part was very satisfying.

Meat, side dishes and drinks you serve yourself

And here's the unusual part — it's not just the shellfish that's unlimited refill, but the meat too! Pork belly, pork shoulder, beef brisket, sausage and more are all prepared, along with lettuce wraps, garlic and peppers to go with them, all self-serve.

Besides meat, there are sides like rice cakes, dumplings, cheese sticks and hash browns, so families with kids seemed to have plenty to eat too.

From scallops to giant clams, abalone and hard clams, you just put whatever shellfish you want onto the grill plate. As they cook, the shells start to open up, and even the waiting felt exciting haha.

The scallops especially had plump, fat flesh, and dipping them in soy sauce or fire chicken sauce was delicious. Being able to pick only what you want from that day's shellfish lineup meant everyone could eat according to their own taste.

We piled plenty of cheese onto the giant clams too — yes, this is it, this is it.

If you love shellfish, this is a place where you can really eat your fill without holding back!

Eating only shellfish nonstop can get old fast, but grilling some meat in between made for a pretty good combination.👍 It also seemed like a good spot to bring along a friend who isn't really into shellfish.

Another thing I personally liked was that there's no time limit. Most all-you-can-eat places have a time cap, but here you can eat slowly without being rushed. That makes it good for a family meal or for friends having a long drink and chat.

There's even ramyeon and pre-cooked rice, so beyond shellfish and meat you can enjoy the whole thing almost like a course meal. You could honestly finish rounds one, two and three all here😆
