A while back I went to a ring-making workshop to create a special memory! Before heading in, I got hungry and searched for good restaurants near Baegot haha. While thinking about what would be good to eat with my kid, I remembered a handmade hamburg steak place called Jeongssi Hambak that I'd had a really delicious meal at before, so I headed straight over without hesitation!

After finding a seat and reading through the menu slowly, we ordered one each of the bacon cream pasta (₩11,500), Toowoomba hambak (₩12,000), and hamburg omurice (₩15,000). By the way, there are various Naver review and tag events running, so if you visit, be sure to take part!

Once you've ordered, they bring out cool water in that nostalgic Del Monte juice glass bottle I remembered from my grandmother's countryside home as a kid, along with the complimentary tteokbokki! The nostalgia just came bubbling up from here haha. The complimentary tteokbokki in particular was incredibly delicious, on par with a specialty shop! It even comes with one free refill, so I definitely recommend getting it refilled.

The self-serve corner had diced radish kimchi, jalapeños, and pickles neatly set out, and scissors and other utensils were thoughtfully provided too — a nice touch showing the owner's warm care for customers.

How do the bacon cream pasta and Toowoomba hambak taste?

The bacon cream pasta (₩11,500) at Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch had a thick, richly savory sauce, and the Toowoomba hambak (₩12,000) had a great balance of spiciness and savoriness. As each long-awaited main dish came out one by one, I nearly lost it over the visuals haha.

Bacon cream pasta. It was the textbook definition of a cream pasta, with a very thick sauce and a deep, rich savoriness spreading through it. The harmony between the salty bacon and the savory cream was excellent, and even my little one ate it up happily.

Toowoomba hambak. Since the base cream itself was so excellent, the balance between spiciness and savoriness was spot on. It wasn't overly spicy, just a pleasantly tingly kick, so I could enjoy it very deliciously without any burden.

What is inside the 15,000 won hamburg omurice?

The hamburg omurice (₩15,000) was loaded with generous ingredients like shrimp, bacon, and mushrooms, and the sauce wasn't tomato-based, so it was light and clean. As the last dish to arrive, the hamburg omurice was overwhelming in both looks and portion size!

It was generously packed with substantial ingredients like shrimp, bacon, and mushrooms, and since the sauce wasn't the usual tomato base, it wasn't sour or tangy at all — instead it was very light and full of flavor.

The star of the main dish, the hamburg steak, was upscale and so tender it practically melted the moment it hit my mouth.

Paired with what seemed like handmade, crunchy cucumber pickles that weren't too sour, there was never a moment it felt heavy.

Overall the portions were super generous, so I ate deliciously until I was stuffed and managed to finish everything! The owner and staff were incredibly kind from start to finish too, which made the whole meal feel great.
