Cat-friendly folding-door terrace at Siheung café Flowerpot Bakery

Busy going on drives every weekday lately. Gotta do it now before it gets cold again haha😂 Before eating grilled shellfish, I stopped by Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery near Mulwang Reservoir in Siheung.

What is Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery in Siheung like?

Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery is a large bakery café with three floors. You can see the rooftop right at the top haha😆 It'd probably look even prettier at night with the lights on. There's parking right in front of the entrance too, super convenient!

This was my first time at Mulwang Reservoir, and there are tons of restaurants and cafés nearby! I should come back just for a meal sometime haha. Even on a weekday there were cars everywhere — I always wonder what everyone's up to lol. Turns out if you eat at a nearby restaurant and bring your receipt or payment record, you get 10% off drinks here, so keep that in mind!

Flowerpot's opening hours and parking

Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery is open from 10:00 AM to 9:20 PM. The parking is really spacious — you can park right in front of the café, plus there's a wide lot to the side, so parking was no hassle at all!

The first-floor folding-door room and the 2nd and 3rd floor seats

This is the 1st floor space at Flowerpot Cafe. With the folding doors open, there's a flower bed right outside and lots of plants inside too, so it smelled amazingly green haha. There's terrace seating on the 1st floor too, and it was quieter than the other floors, which I liked. Next to it was the space where they actually bake the bread — the bakers were hard at work👍

You order upstairs on the 2nd floor. That's where the most people were! The 3rd floor also has lots of tables, plus an 8-person group table, so it'd be great for family gatherings or group visits. The outdoor terrace had a nice breeze too, perfect weather for coffee outside!! But we went back downstairs to eat instead (I'll explain why below~~!!)

What we ordered: iced americano, fresh cream cake and corn cream cheese bread

There's everything from coffee to smoothies, ades, teas, and fresh fruit juices, and the one that caught my eye was a sugar-free 100% real mango juice! Looked so good! They had bingsu (shaved ice dessert) too, but I really wanted bread and coffee so I'll save that for next time..ㅠㅠ Looking at this again, I'm suddenly craving injeolmi bingsu so bad😋 In the end we ordered an iced americano, a fresh cream slice cake, and corn cream cheese bread!

There's a huge variety of cookies, baked snacks, and other breads. They had tiramisu and roll cake too. Honestly I wasn't really in the mood for cake and wanted the fig croissant instead, but my husband — who never usually goes for bakery stuff — suddenly wanted cream cake, so I gave in this time haha.

There's also a self-packing counter, so if you have leftover bread you can pack it up yourself here (we didn't need it^^). They also have baby chairs available!

Why we chose the first-floor terrace with the cats over the rooftop

Ta-da~! Instead of the rooftop, we specifically came all the way down to the 1st floor of Flowerpot Cafe and set up on the terrace. The reason is these guys lol. There were seriously so many cats. They didn't shy away from people at all — they'd actually come up and ask to be petted ㅠㅠ Butt pats, so cute!!😖 It was also the quietest spot, and I wanted to hang out with the cats, so that's why we came down haha.

How did the corn cream cheese bread and cake taste?

The coffee was great, but especially the corn cream cheese bread — totally recommend!! It caught my eye visually right away! It was packed full of corn, so genuinely delicious😋 The fresh cream cake was soft and sweet too, perfect with the coffee! And that's another day of food binging wrapped up haha.
