It had been a while since I'd been to Hapjeong! While thinking about what to eat there, I ended up at Seowon Angil, known for its brunch café pasta. The best part is that it's pet-friendly! Since I have a dog, places where I can bring my pet along feel extra special. And on top of that, the pasta and brunch are delicious, so let me introduce it :)

Where Seowon Angil Hapjeong is, and can you bring a dog?

This time I visited Seowon Angil Hapjeong, about a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hapjeong Station. The exterior was pretty and looked upscale too.

The first thing that caught my eye right as I walked in was the pet-friendly sign! It said something like: please don't be rude to pets or their guardians, and if you're uncomfortable sharing space with animals, please refrain from using the café!! I could really feel that the owner genuinely loves animals, and that made me so happy ㅠㅠㅠ cute animals ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

Inside Seowon Angil Hapjeong: first floor and second floor

The interior was decorated to feel like being in a forest. The lighting was bright, and the colorful tables and chairs fit the atmosphere really well. Plus, there were lots of plants, which made the interior feel even prettier!

Every corner had such great taste and looked so pretty. There's a second floor in addition to the first, so keep that in mind +_+

And there's also a spot to get water!! Pepper and sauces are there too :) The water was nice and cold! If you're having soup, I personally recommend grabbing the pepper and sprinkling some on—it's delicious~!

Sure enough... there was a puppy there ㅠㅠㅠ So cute and lovable... genuinely gorgeous ㅠㅠㅠㅠ I couldn't stop looking at it and kept wishing it would come over to us, but it was on a leash so ㅠㅠ that was a bit disappointing haha

What we ordered at Seowon Angil Hapjeong: Angil Breakfast and crab egg pasta

First we checked out the menu to order. What we ended up ordering was the Angil Breakfast with small soup, and the crab-egg pasta—two dishes. We skipped drinks since we were planning to go to a café after eating. There were plenty of other menu options too, so it was fun just choosing.

Our order arrived! We got the Angil Breakfast with soup included, and the portion was surprisingly generous!! The plating was also really pretty and matched the interior so well haha

What comes with the Angil Breakfast and small soup set

First I checked out the Angil Breakfast. It comes as one big plate with the soup served separately.

It's made up of bread, jam, ketchup, salad, bacon, sausage, beans, mushrooms, eggs, and cherry tomatoes. The portion was generous and the variety was great. Plus, you can spread jam on the bread, so you can enjoy it however you like.

Everything looked like it was made with so much care!! Best of all, there were plenty of baked beans, which I love :) Soft, savory, and really tasty. Overall, the seasoning wasn't too strong—just right!!

It's tasty spread with jam, but also delicious piled up like this :) The jam especially is really, really good. And the combination of bread with the various vegetables and mushrooms piled on top works great too—filling enough to be a simple, satisfying meal.

I tried a spoonful of the soup like this, and it was super smooth and delicious. There's pepper at the self-bar, so sprinkle some on if you like!

How does the crab egg pasta taste?

This is the crab-egg pasta, and just looking at it, it seemed creamy—I think it's made with egg yolk :) They also give you separate tongs, so it's convenient to portion it out onto a smaller plate haha

At first I worried it might be too greasy, but it was genuinely delicious ㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋ Exactly the pasta flavor I wanted! Smooth, savory, not greasy at all, just the right balance :) I want to eat it again.
