Ogeum-dong café for a coconut latte and three salt breads: Grid Cafe
In short
Grid Cafe is a bakery café built around salt bread and ciabatta on Macheon-ro in Ogeum-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Visiting alone, the writer took a window seat with a coconut latte and three salt breads — plain, mocha and crack — after picking them from the showcase and ordering at the kiosk. With sunlight falling across the sand-tone interior, Grid Cafe suits both quiet solo time and long catch-ups with friends.

This time I want to introduce a cozy café in Ogeum-dong, Songpa, Seoul where you can enjoy tasty bakery items and quality coffee all in one place — Grid Cafe, a spot that's irresistible thanks to the smell of freshly baked bread filling the air.
This is a well-known dessert spot in Ogeum-dong that got a full renewal after TV appearances and a business solution, coming back with an even better lineup. Thanks to the cozy, warm sand-tone interior, I had fun visiting alone, taking my time and working my way through the salt breads one by one. It also looked like a great space for catching up with friends.

Grid Cafe opening hours and parking
Grid Cafe is closed on Mondays and open Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 18:00, with last order at 17:30. There's no parking on weekdays, but on weekends parking is available behind the shop.

There's a board showing the bake times for each item — tarts, salt bread, scones, ciabatta, bread loaves, and so on. And at this Songpa café known for its salt bread, they say you get a handmade rusk or a special gift prepared that day if you write a Naver photo review.
Why Grid Cafe is known as the salt bread café of Ogeum-dong

If I had to name Grid Cafe's signature menu item, it would be salt bread (소금빵) — it's even a keyword for Songpa's salt bread cafés. It's famous for being baked fresh every day, and when you walk in, that gentle bread smell fills the air, matching the sand-tone interior perfectly.
Window seats for solo visits and kiosk ordering at Grid Cafe

There's a wide variety of seating, so it works well whether you're chatting with friends or spending some quiet time alone with a coffee.

The showcase displays all kinds of bread so you can see them with your own eyes, and there's a kiosk right beside it for easy ordering.

There's also seating facing the window, so I sat there and spent my time eating salt bread.
Ordering a coconut latte and three salt breads

I ordered a coconut latte along with the plain salt bread, mocha salt bread, and crack salt bread.

You can see all the house-made bread right there in the showcase, and I liked being able to check the quality for myself.
What Grid Cafe bakes fresh every morning
Everything came out quickly after ordering, which I liked. At Grid Cafe, salt bread and ciabatta are said to be the famous items, and since I love salt bread myself, I ended up ordering one of each kind. Beyond that, they also make garlic bread, cream bread, baked cookies, egg tarts, scones, and cookies, kneading and baking everything by hand every morning — no wonder this Songpa café always draws a crowd.

Also, on my favorite YouTube channel Jangsa-ui Shin (God of Business), the café got solutioned by CEO Eun Hyun-jang back in October 2023, and later appeared on the show Seomin Gapbu, which led to the full renewal. Maybe that's why the sand-tone interior with sunlight pouring in feels so comfortable and cozy — even going alone, I could relax with a drink and really taste the flavor of the salt bread.

When I visited, everyone was working cheerfully and brightly — from the owner to the staff, everyone had such warm smiles that I couldn't help smiling too. Spending time in the café, I could naturally feel that they genuinely enjoy their work.
Which coffee beans to choose at Grid Cafe
Grid Cafe in Ogeum-dong, Songpa, is just as serious about coffee as it is about dessert. You can choose from well-known beans like Old Dog, Jaldwaegasina, or decaf, and they say each is prepared through multiple tests and checks to pull out the best flavor.
I don't really know much about coffee flavor profiles — I mostly go for nutty ones, though sometimes I'll have something with acidity. This time I ordered a nutty one, partly because I wanted coffee to go along with the salt bread I was packing to take home. Before I left, the owner casually packed a few extras for me, and that warmth left me with a good memory of this Ogeum-dong, Songpa café. Since it suited my taste — cool and nutty — my steps felt light as I walked away.
If you're looking for an Ogeum-dong, Songpa café with handmade salt bread baked fresh that very morning and fragrant filter?? coffee, be sure to stop by Grid Cafe — spend a day there with delicious salt bread or ciabatta, nutty coffee, a warm interior, and an all-around warm, positive atmosphere!
