Two-floor Yeongdeungpo izakaya, big portions for two: Nani Byeolgwan

Where is Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch?
Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch is an izakaya at 183 Munnae-ro, 1F, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, right on the main road directly across from Yeongdeungpo Times Square. It's an 8-minute walk from Yeongdeungpo Station Exit 5, and it's open daily from 18:00 to 02:00, closed Sundays. It's group-friendly, has separate men's and women's restrooms, and offers birthday perks too.
I wanted to introduce a good-looking izakaya near Yeongdeungpo Station and Munnae Station. It's a solid pick for a date course or a blind-date spot too, so if you're in the area, give it a visit!
It's located right on the main road directly across from Yeongdeungpo Times Square, so it was super easy to find, and as you can see from the photo below, the exterior has this pretty Japanese-style interior look that made me want to check it out at least once 😄
This is Yeongdeungpo Times Square, shot right in front of the restaurant~ It seems perfect for grabbing a drink with good food before or after a Times Square date.
The exterior was so pretty and full of atmosphere! I feel like I've seen this kind of place in the Munnae date alley, but a spot like this in Yeongdeungpo Times Square too?
Inside Nani Byeolgwan: bar seats and 2nd-floor group tables
Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch has two floors, so it seemed well suited for company dinners and group gatherings too 👍🏻
Right as you walk in, you see the bar seats, where you can actually watch the cooking happen in the kitchen. At this Yeongdeungpo izakaya favorite, everything is made in-house by a chef with 15 years of experience, so I heard you can really feel that traditional Japanese-food vibe 🥰 Also, as you can see in the second photo, there's plenty of seating on the second floor too, so it seemed great for company dinners or group gatherings. Watching the crowd while eating, it did look like office workers from nearby companies were there for a work dinner 👍🏻

The atmosphere here is really nice too. With this pretty vibe, it seems like the space could work well for a range of purposes — dates, an after-party following a blind date, or just a relaxed solo drink.

True to a Times Square, Yeongdeungpo izakaya favorite, the menu had a nice mix of variety and value. As two people, we ordered these two dishes.

The Nagasaki seafood nabe arrived and the portion was really, really big for the price, packed with seafood inside — felt like it could fill up two people on its own! If you're looking for a great izakaya or yakitori spot near Yeongdeungpo Station or Times Square, come to Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch — you'll leave full and with zero regrets 👍🏻
Semi-dried moist squid, 20,000 won
The second thing we ordered, semi-dried moist squid, and the squid pieces were really, really huge lol. The best side dish for us since we're a couple who watches our protein ✨ Eating it in between bites of the nabe when we got full felt like the best combo — you just keep going without stopping...!! 👍🏻
Here's a photo of everything together! Doesn't it look like more than enough for two people? We actually skipped dinner beforehand and were starving, but I remember it took us until we were almost about to leave to finally finish it all. Both the portions and the taste at Nani Byeolgwan are the best 👍🏻
Is Nani Byeolgwan good for a Friday after-work date?
Since it was right after work on a Friday, we had a great time clinking glasses ❤️ We hadn't been on a date to Yeongdeungpo Times Square in a while, and after looking around, we visited this izakaya favorite Nani Byeolgwan for dinner and drinks, and both the food and the vibe were so good. I think we meant to eat lightly but ended up drinking a bit too much lol. If you're heading to the area, I really recommend stopping by at least once and soaking up the good vibes 🙌🏻
