Anguk Station pizza restaurant with waiting number 8: Low Five Anguk

In short

Low Five Anguk is a casual Western restaurant on Bukchon-ro in Jongno, Seoul, built around corn pizza and lasagna. On a Bukchon outing lunch with her mother, the writer arrived at 11:20am on a weekday, took CatchTable on-site waiting number 8, and shared the corn pizza (25,000 won), classic lasagna (23,000 won) and classic Caesar salad (12,000 won). The classic lasagna sells in limited quantities, so arriving at opening time is the safest way to try it at Low Five Anguk.

Low Five Anguk's signature corn pizza

While planning a Bukchon outing lunch with my mom, I looked up where to eat and kept seeing Low Five Anguk pop up as an Anguk Station pizza spot lately. This is the place that first made a name for itself with corn pizza in Suwon's Haenggung-dong, and now it's settled into Anguk too. I was curious about their signature corn pizza and the limited-quantity classic lasagna, so I headed over right at weekday opening time.

Low Five Anguk is a quick walk from Anguk Station Exit 2, heading along Bukchon-ro toward the Constitutional Court.

They open at 11:30am, but CatchTable on-site waiting starts at 11:05am, so if you have a larger group, arrive a bit early and get in line like we did. (Weekday 11:20am arrival got us waiting number 8.)

There's no dedicated parking lot at the restaurant. If you're driving, the Hyundai Gyedong Building parking lot is close by and usually has space — it's worth buying a day pass in advance through a parking app. Jeongdok Library doesn't have many spots, but if you go early in the morning it's a convenient route for wandering the Bukchon alleys.

Low Five Anguk is a casual Italian restaurant centered on pizza and lasagna. Marble and wooden tables are mixed throughout, giving the whole space a homey feel.

The windows let in a nice view outside, adding to the atmosphere, and the tables are arranged in a variety of layouts.

You order through the QR code attached to each table, and since the menu comes with photos and descriptions, it's easy to pick even on a first visit. Jalapeño pickles come out with the pizza to cut through the richness in between bites, and my mom enjoyed them too. It's also close to Bukchon Hanok Village, Jeongdok Library, and Insadong, making it a good stop for a meal during a day out.

What two people ordered: three dishes at Low Five Anguk

Low Five, known as an Anguk Station pizza spot, focuses on pizzas with distinctive toppings and oven-baked lasagna. Beyond the corn pizza, there are unusual options like a Tex-Mex taco pizza, so there's fun in choosing. Since it was just my mom and me, instead of ordering multiple mains we decided to get pizza, lasagna, and a salad and share small portions of each.

  • Corn pizza ₩25,000
  • Classic lasagna ₩23,000
  • Classic Caesar salad ₩12,000

The combo of popping grilled corn and rich ragù! Putting the salad on top of the pizza is a fun little trick too :)

This signature menu item has bacon and chili shrimp grilled on top of a white truffle cream base, finished with whole grilled corn. The corn comes on in full cobs still studded with kernels, so you end up taking a photo the moment it arrives. The savory truffle cream gets a touch of spicy kick from the chili shrimp.

A slice of pizza with a strip of grilled corn pulled off

Pulling off a strip of grilled corn and eating it with the pizza gives you both the sweetness and that popping texture. The butter seasoning adds even more depth of flavor.

Golden-charred edge of the wood-fired pizza crust

It's a different vibe from a typical tomato sauce pizza, so if it's your first time at Low Five, it's worth trying at least once. The crust edges are charred golden brown, wood-fired pizza style, and my mom enjoyed it too.

Classic lasagna, 23,000 won and limited each day

This dish is made with a long-simmered tomato ragù sauce, layered with mozzarella cheese and baked.

Ragù sauce and cheese are layered between the wide lasagna sheets, so once you cut in with a fork, the cross-section already looks appetizing.

The top layer of cheese is baked crisp, and the deep flavor of the tomato ragù anchors everything. Where the corn pizza is creamy and spicy, the lasagna is rich and full-flavored — they go well together when eaten in turns.

Classic Caesar salad, 12,000 won

Classic Caesar salad heaped with grated cheese

This salad comes with ranch dressing and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese grated on top like a snowfall. Squeezing the lemon wedge served alongside adds a nice bit of tartness. Since we were eating together, my mom and I chose salad over pasta, and it turned out to be a great pairing.

Caesar salad piled on top of the pizza

The heaping romaine lettuce with cheese and dressing freshens up your palate, and piling it on top of the pizza turned out to be the real winning combo. If you're sharing as two people, two mains plus one salad is the perfect setup.

Is Low Five Anguk worth the wait?

If you're looking for an Anguk Station pizza spot, give the signature corn pizza at Low Five Anguk a try. Pairing the savory corn pizza with the rich tomato ragù lasagna and a refreshing Caesar salad made it easy for my mom and me to share several dishes between us.

It's a solid stop if you want pizza and lasagna together during a Bukchon outing or an Anguk date. The classic lasagna is limited in quantity, so arrive a little early if you're determined to try it — the other pasta options looked good too, so there's plenty to choose from. Next time I'll come back for the Tex-Mex taco pizza, which looks like a totally different experience from the corn pizza.
