Gondre bibimbap set with pork and seolleongtang at Hantiok, Incheon
In short
Hantiok Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is a Korean restaurant on the dining floor of Lotte Department Store in Michuhol, Incheon. Visiting on a weekend evening, the writer ordered the 22,000 won bossam set meal plus a gondre bibimbap set with 3 side dumplings, and paying an extra 6,000 won for the set-meal upgrade brought stir-fried pork and seolleongtang (ox bone soup) alongside the gondre bibimbap. The set-meal upgrade turned out far more satisfying than ordering a single dish.

Today I'm introducing a Korean restaurant find at Lotte Department Store Incheon~ I went to [Hantiok Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch]!

Where to find Hantiok Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch
Hantiok Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is on the dining floor, basement level 2, of Lotte Department Store~ Right near Incheon Comprehensive Bus Terminal! It's across from Ovens Bakery, so it's easy to find haha.
Inside the restaurant and seating

The place is open-style but still feels cozy!! It wasn't as noisy as I expected, so it's nice for a quiet meal haha. There were 4 tables — I visited on a weekend evening and only one table was left~

Single dish vs set meal — what does adding 6,000 won get you?
There's a big menu board right in front of the restaurant~ and real-looking food samples too, so ordering was super easy! You can order a single dish, but paying an extra 6,000 won to upgrade to the set meal adds a taste of bossam (boiled pork wrap), which is great haha.

Here's what we ordered~
- Bossam set meal
- Gondre bibimbap set
- 3 side dumplings
A table full of food

They give you a buzzer when you order~ and the food came out about 10 minutes later! Carrying it back from the pickup counter, the whole table was piled high haha. On the left is the bossam set meal, on the right is the gondre bibimbap set plus 3 dumplings.

Bossam set meal, 22,000 won
First up, the bossam set meal~ At 22,000 won it comes with bossam, dumplings, tofu, kimchi, lettuce wraps, hangover soup, and more — really generous but also neatly arranged!

The bossam had incredible sheen~ the ratio of fat to lean meat was ideal, the kind of flavor everyone would like! I dipped it lightly in just the salted shrimp sauce, and there was zero gamey smell — you really taste proper boiled-pork bossam haha.

It's even better wrapped in the lettuce that comes with it!! Add the bossam radish kimchi and garlic on top and it tastes just like a dedicated bossam restaurant~

The hangover soup that comes with the bossam set was genuinely delicious!! Loaded with meat too~ it's a spicy style that paired really well with the bossam! The kind of taste that makes you think of soju while eating it haha.

The gondre bibimbap set comes with stir-fried pork instead of bossam
Had to try the gondre bibimbap (gondre herb rice bowl) set too~ It came out together with the bossam set! Turns out when you upgrade gondre bibimbap to the set meal, you get stir-fried pork instead of bossam!! I thought stir-fried pork would suit gondre rice well, and it actually turned out great :)

The other side dishes were the same!! Paying the extra 6,000 won to upgrade to the set meal seems way better than ordering a single dish haha.
The stir-fried pork was lean with little fat but still super tender! The seasoning was mildly spicy, the kind kids could enjoy too haha.

The gondre bibimbap comes with sauce on the side~ mix in as much as you like! I poured in a generous amount and mixed it up haha.

One bite and it really does taste like proper gondre rice!! Is there any Korean adult who doesn't like this?! The gondre aroma was just right, and the rice had a nice soft chew too!! Even better topped with napa cabbage kimchi haha. This is a real Korean restaurant find at Lotte Department Store Incheon!

The gondre set comes with seolleongtang
The gondre bibimbap set comes with seolleongtang (milky ox bone soup)!! The gondre rice and stir-fried pork are both richly seasoned, so finishing with the clean seolleongtang made for really good balance!! Feels like they designed the set menu thinking about flavor harmony haha.

Side dumplings, 3 pieces
The dumplings are the hand-made style with juicy meat filling~ I'm not usually a big dumpling fan, but Hantiok's dumplings were so good I finished them all haha.

Ordering both and mixing them together
The gondre bibimbap set doesn't come with lettuce wraps~ but wrapping gondre rice in the lettuce from the bossam set works great too!! Eating the stir-fried pork with tofu also gave off a tofu-and-pork-stir-fry vibe, which I liked haha. Ordering both dishes to share like we did seems like a great idea! If you're looking for a Korean restaurant find at Lotte Department Store Incheon, I really recommend visiting [Hantiok Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch] :)
