Rooftop-view roastery café in Michuhol, Incheon: Tiny Dot

Today I'm writing up a review of Tiny Dot, a café in Hagik-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon!!

Here's the outside. I had a reason to be in Hagik-dong, Incheon, and heard there was a café with really good coffee, so I checked it out~

About 4 parking spots were available outside — 3 behind the shop and 1 in front, so keep that in mind~ The entrance looks small, but the interior was bigger than expected, making it a café that could handle group visits too!!

Drip coffee you choose by smelling the beans

At the counter, different types of beans were set out so you could smell them and choose yourself!! For drip coffee, they let you smell the beans and recommend one based on your taste. You could really see the owner's dedication to coffee!!

As befits a roastery café, they also sell beans and drip bags, so quite a few people who are into drip coffee were buying some. At ₩12,000 for 200g, the price was reasonable too!! They even sell larger sizes, so if you're interested, keep that in mind~

There was also an interesting coffee menu item I hadn't really seen elsewhere. Orange Dot is one I'd like to try next time!!

Desserts made in-house

The beans are varied, but the desserts were made from scratch too, and there were plenty of kinds!! Scones, croffles, Basque cheesecake, salt bread — the owner is really hardworking... The desserts looked so appetizing. I ordered the Basque cheesecake~

It's run by someone with multiple barista certifications, which was reassuring. Coffee roasted and brewed by someone like that has to be great, right??

I'd never seen a machine like this before... You could really feel the dedication to coffee!!

They were even selling drip coffee supplies at low prices. Similar to online prices, so it might be worth buying here too!!

Inside floors 1–3, third-floor window seats

The interior spans floors 1, 2, and 3, so it's quite sizable!! There's even an elevator, so you don't have to trudge up the stairs. haha

This is the third floor, and the floor-to-ceiling windows open up a great view~ It also has a slightly retro feel, so it was really nice enjoying the atmosphere while drinking coffee!! There were plants scattered around the café, giving it a fresh feel.

The second floor was a bit more spacious and modern, giving off a different vibe.

Coffee-related machines were scattered throughout the café, so it was fun just looking around!!

How the Basque cheesecake and iced americano tasted

Here's the iced americano and Basque cheesecake I ordered.

Look at that cross-section of the Basque cheesecake... it looks like pure denseness itself..

As someone who loves a dense cheesecake, I really enjoyed it!! Moderately sweet with a rich cheese flavor — so good!! The cake was moist and dense, so even a small bite clung to the tongue with a strong flavor. Pairs really well with coffee!! If you go to Tiny Dot, this is the dessert I'd recommend. A really well-baked Basque cheesecake.

The decaf had good balance too

Here's the iced americano. The americano had just the right acidity and nuttiness, with really good balance. A café that roasts its own coffee really makes a difference in how the americano tastes~ You could tell the beans were fresh. One cup was ordered as decaf, and while it was a bit lighter, the balance was still good. Places with tasty decaf aren't common, so I really liked this one!!

Final thoughts

I visited Tiny Dot, a roastery café located in Hagik-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon, and the coffee was really tasty with great balance, plus there was a nice variety of desserts. The café atmosphere was great too, and with coffee this good, it's a place I'd want to visit again~ If it were near my house, I'd want to come often haha. For anyone in Michuhol-gu, Incheon looking for a dedicated roastery café with great coffee, I'd recommend this one!!
