Free parking and bread times at 5PM sunset hour, Yeongjongdo café
In short
5PM sunset hour is a small dessert café on the first floor of an apartment complex retail block in Yeongjong Haneul City, Incheon. Visiting at 1:30 PM, the writer took away 3 salt breads, 2 egg tarts and a Lotus scone, with the freshly baked salt bread crisp on the bottom and hollow inside like a cave. There's free parking behind the retail block and a 10% takeout discount on drinks, making it a good spot to pack up and go.

Hi, this is Mole.
I was looking for a café to grab dessert takeout in Yeongjongdo and came across a blog review saying '5PM sunset hour' makes great salt bread. Honest review, let's go.
5PM sunset hour: hours and parking basics

Is there parking?
The shop sits right next to the apartment complex entrance, so if you're parking you'll need to drive into the complex. Even if you're not a resident, passing through the barrier gate and out again is free, so just go ahead and drive through.
The parking lot is right behind the shop, so turn right as soon as you pass the barrier gate and park in the lot you'll see there.
Outside the shop
Here's the outside of 5PM sunset hour. It's on the first floor of the retail block at the apartment entrance. The shop isn't big, so keep an eye out for the orange sign and you'll find it easily.

There are tables outside too. It's autumn now so the weather's cool — sitting here late afternoon and enjoying a coffee while looking up at the autumn sky sounds nice too. The shop's name is literally '5PM sunset hour,' the hour the sun sets.
Bread schedule

Plan your visit around the bread schedule — freshly baked bread is the best. At 9 AM: salt bread, bagels, scones. At 10–11 AM: financiers, egg tarts, butter rice cake.
Inside the shop and seating

The shop isn't big, so most customers were there for takeout. I visited around 1:30 PM and there were quite a lot of customers coming in — must be a hidden dessert gem in Yeongjongdo. Most of them seemed to be residents.
There are two small tables inside — note they're 2-person tables! The tables outside can seat 4.
This looks like it might be a spare chair.
Amenities
Coat hooks, syrup, paper cups, tissues, water.
5PM sunset hour restroom
You need to step outside the shop to use the restroom in the retail building. But you must take the restroom key hanging on the shop wall to use it! The men's/women's keys are separate, so check before you take one.
Menu and prices as of September 2026
Americano from ₩3,800.

There's hand-drip coffee too. Buy the salt bread + Americano set and get the ₩6,800 menu at a discounted ₩6,000. Since this is a salt bread hotspot, I'd recommend everyone buy the set!
Buying 4 salt breads brings the price down from ₩12,000 to ₩11,000! Plus a 10% discount applies to all drinks for takeout, so I recommend packing up!!

Sanghamokjang organic ice cream ₩3,000 / ades ₩4,500 / non-coffee lattes ₩4,900 / tea ₩3,500–4,000.

There's also mango latte, vanilla pudding, and ice cream latte.

The most famous item at 5PM sunset hour — the salt bread! It's substantial, not small at all — quite a big size.

- <Taiwanese sandwich> strawberry flavor ₩3,000 / ham cheese flavor ₩3,000
- Sanghamokjang organic juice ₩1,900
- <Donuts> strawberry crunch donut ₩2,900 / glazed ₩1,900 / sugar strawberry ₩1,900 / Bavarian ₩1,900 / chocolate crunch ₩1,900
There's a kids' menu too, haha.

I picked out 3 salt breads, 2 egg tarts, and a Lotus scone.
Salt bread, ₩3,000
Whoa, so substantial.

A glossy, fresh-out-of-the-oven salt bread
Warm and fresh! For pretty much any bakery, I'd recommend going right when the bread comes out. Fresh-baked bread and cooled-down bread are on a completely different level.

Crispy bottom — pass!
Perfect cave — hollowed out inside, this is the style of salt bread. This is what a good one should be like — no wonder they have an ice cream salt bread option. Piping a warm salt bread full of ice cream must taste amazing.
Crispy on the outside with a bit of chew, this salt bread was. Fresh out of the oven, nutty and delicious. There was even a faint smoky aroma, which was nice.

When I ate it the next day at home, the cave had shrunk a lot. Eat it the same day, right when it comes out!!
It probably would've been even better reheated in an air fryer, but mine's broken so I tossed it, haha — microwaved it for 15 seconds instead. You all should definitely use an air fryer. As someone who used to bake at home as a hobby, it would break my heart if someone microwaved my homemade bread. Bread is air fryer, no exceptions — that's when it really shows its worth.
Lotus scone, ₩3,500

The Lotus scone is delicious — my parents enjoyed it the most. Nice that it wasn't too sweet, nutty with a soft, thoroughly chewy texture.

It might look a bit dry on the outside, but that's exactly what makes a scone taste nutty and good once you actually eat it. Big recommend on the scones, haha. Next time I'll buy a few more — the plain scone was sold out when I went. Since the flavor's good, I'd like to try one of each kind.
Egg tarts, 2 for ₩6,500

Egg tarts — the pastry was crispy so I enjoyed them a lot. It wasn't the kind that's mushy like a steamed egg, but a soft and sweet egg tart.
You can tell just by looking it's crispy. I ate one right away and put the other in the freezer, haha — saving it for later, for a stressful day.
Final thoughts
For anyone in Incheon's Yeongjongdo looking for a good café or dessert spot, I recommend '5PM sunset hour.' It's a small, cute dessert café, but it has parking and the bread is delicious! It's on the first floor of an apartment retail block, and seeing residents constantly coming by for takeout, it really has that hidden dessert gem vibe. The staff were kind too, which was nice.
- Recommended for anyone in Yeongjongdo looking for a good dessert spot or salt bread spot
- The salt bread is crispy and large in size
- 10% discount applies to drinks for takeout
- Next time I want to try the ice cream salt bread, Dubai salt bread, and plain scone
