Incheon Haedoji-ro salt bread café, plain and mentaiko 3+1: Cozy Bear

Hi, this is Munyu. I heard there's a famous salt bread spot near the hagwon (private academy) street in Songdo, Incheon, so I went to check it out 🐻🐻🐻 Long story short, the salt bread was so, so good — here's my Cozy Bear visit.

Where is Cozy Bear in Songdo, and is there parking?

Cozy Bear is a newly opened bakery café that's getting famous for its salt bread. 📍Location: 160-19 Haedoji-ro, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, on the 1st floor, with well-set-up underground parking. There's also a public parking lot right in front of the store.

The exterior has a warm feel with a cute bear illustration on it. I'd heard Cozy Bear was getting famous for its salt bread in Songdo, and that you could also enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee there, so off I went 🥖🥖🥖

There's a spacious outdoor terrace, so on nice days like this it's really great to enjoy salt bread and coffee outside in the cool breeze ☕️☕️☕️ There are indoor seats too, so it's a nice café to stop and rest at. The clean interior really stood out to me.

Plain and mentaiko: picking Cozy Bear's salt bread on the 3+1 deal

The moment I walked in, I saw the warm, freshly baked salt bread. Crispy outside, moist inside — you can practically feel it in the photos ✨✨✨

Everything was neatly arranged, and the bread was displayed so appetizingly. Time to pick out which salt bread to eat.

I love plain, so I ordered the basic salt bread. The price is reasonable too, so it's easy to enjoy without any guilt.

My husband loves mentaiko (pollock roe), so he ordered the mentaiko one 🫧🫧🫧 Since they were running the 3+1 promotion, I'd recommend buying around three. The plain flavor was the most basic, but it was so crispy and delicious. Totally recommend it.

The owner here was really kind too. They packed our order of salt bread neatly and carefully. Cozy Bear is great whether you're taking it to go or eating in.

Salt bread, iced coffee and Korean-grown red beans at Cozy Bear

When you order iced coffee, they pull it fresh from the coffee machine right away, nice and cold — and it goes so well with the salt bread ☕️☕️☕️

The red beans that go into Cozy Bear's salt bread are domestic and boiled in-house, so of course it tastes great. This is a place that's serious about both the salt bread and the coffee.

I was so envious of the Cozy Bear T-shirt the owner was wearing. I kept looking at the cute little bear 🐻🐻🐻 And the owner was genuinely so kind. This is a place I naturally want to come back to. For salt bread in Songdo, Incheon, I fully recommend Cozy Bear. I hope it gets even more famous.

What time does Cozy Bear's salt bread come out of the oven?

Cozy Bear's salt bread comes out twice a day: 9am and 2pm 🤍🤍🤍 If you time your visit right, you can get it warm and fresh. They use French fermented butter and Guérande sea salt, baking only a set quantity each day. For those who want to take it home, box packaging is available too — great for gifting.

Even the wrapping paper was so cute. The coffee had just the right amount of acidity and a nutty flavor — exactly the kind of coffee I like. Salt bread definitely needs coffee ☕️☕️☕️

How did the salt bread taste back home?

I tasted the salt bread as soon as I got home, and the verdict: really, really delicious. That signature buttery aroma and salty flavor of salt bread paired so well with coffee 🤎🤎🤎 I love salt bread in general and enjoy trying it at different bakeries, and the salt bread I had from Cozy Bear was a complete success.
