I went to check out a café in Songdo where you can enjoy freshly baked salt bread alongside drinks. This time it was Cafe Cozy Bear Salt Bread Bakery Songdo Hagwonga Branch — a salt bread specialty bakery café in Songdo, Incheon, worth noting for anyone who loves bread. They bake twice a day and offer a wide variety, so it's a good spot for anything from a quick snack to a gift.
Where is Cozy Bear Songdo Hagwonga, and where do you park?
On the first floor of the Songdo hagwon (cram school) district, easy to find

Cozy Bear sits on the first floor of the Cars Plaza building on Haedoji-ro in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. It's about 30 seconds on foot from Songdo Sikjaechae Mart, so it wasn't hard to find. As you approach the building, you'll spot the big COZY BEAR sign and a bear character hugging a salt bread, which makes it easy to locate.

There are outdoor tables right in front of the shop, so on a nice day it'd be a good spot for a coffee outside. A public parking lot is also right there, making it convenient to park and walk in.

Salt bread flavors and what time the bread comes out
The cute Cozy Bear and the display case

Walking in, the clean interior combining white with dark wood tones caught my eye first.

And in front of the counter, freshly baked salt bread was on display.

Anyone looking for salt bread at a Songdo, Incheon bakery would appreciate the variety here — from plain salt bread to castella, mugwort, mentaiko (pollock roe), and garlic.

Cozy Bear's salt bread apparently comes out of the oven twice a day, at 9am and 2pm. Only a set quantity is made each day, and once it's sold out, the shop may close early, so if you have a specific flavor in mind, it's worth timing your visit around the bake times.
What goes into Cozy Bear's salt bread
Careful with ingredients, which is reassuring

The ingredients here are worth a look too. For deep flavor, they use French fermented butter and Guérande sea salt, and the dough is made with French flour chosen for its texture and aroma.

There's also a mugwort salt bread made with domestic Korean mugwort, and domestic red beans are boiled in-house for the filling. Domestic potatoes are also boiled in-house, so it seems like a lot of care goes into the ingredients even for a single bread.

You could also watch the bread and drinks being prepared, which really gave off the vibe of a dedicated bakery.

On one side, there was a baking space labeled THE BEAR'S KITCHEN. Seeing the bread-making space through the glass really brought out the feel of a salt bread specialty café in Songdo, Incheon.
Can you get salt bread gift-wrapped?
Cute packaging for gifting too

Personally, I thought the Cozy Bear character was really cute. From the paper bags to the boxes, the bear character appears throughout, so the packaging itself feels polished. If you buy several, box packaging is available too, which seems good for a family snack or a light gift for friends.
Inside Cozy Bear: window seats and the terrace
Bright, clean space with a wall of windows

Heading further inside, the seating stretches back further than expected. Two-person tables line the window wall, and sunlight comes in naturally, keeping the whole space bright.

There are seats facing outside too,

and outdoor terrace seating is available as well. Since it's on the first floor, it's also easy to access if you're visiting with kids.

What we ordered at Cozy Bear and what it cost
What I had:
- Salt bread ₩3,500
- Fruit-packed green grape ade ₩5,500
- Premium strawberry milk ₩5,500

The cups and wrapping with the Cozy Bear character on them were so cute that even a photo of just the drinks turned out well.
Wait, it's a green grape juice — why is it purple? Turns out the green grape pulp was sitting at the bottom 😲 With the strawberry milk too, at first all I saw was milk, but looking closer, layers of strawberry syrup were visible inside the cup, catching the eye with its color alone.

How the plain salt bread tasted
I started with Cozy Bear's basic plain salt bread. It's made with French fermented butter, Guérande salt, and premium flour. The outside was baked to a golden brown with a scattering of coarse salt on top, which looked appetizing. Taking a bite, the nutty flavor of the butter and the salty tang blended together naturally. The crisp texture at the bottom was especially good — apparently it's made so it stays crisp all the way to the bottom even after cooling. It's good on its own or paired with a drink. There are several flavors of salt bread, but if it's your first visit, I'd recommend starting with the plain one!

Green grape ade and premium strawberry milk, 5,500 won each
✔️ Fruit-packed green grape ade Drinking it, the refreshing fizz combined with the tartness of green grapes left my mouth feeling clean. With bits of green grape pulp chewed in along the way, it had more texture than your typical syrup-based ade.
✔️ Premium strawberry milk If you stir it well before drinking, the strawberry syrup and milk blend together smoothly, which looks lovely. It's made with carefully selected strawberry syrup, so you get plenty of sweet strawberry flavor while the milk softens it out. You can also feel the texture of strawberry pulp, giving it a different character from milk that's just strawberry-flavored. It seems like a good choice for anyone who doesn't drink coffee, or for visiting with kids.

Is Cozy Bear Songdo worth a visit?
At Cozy Bear Songdo Hagwonga Branch, I got to enjoy everything from freshly baked salt bread to fruit-packed drinks. Rather than a place where you just eat one salt bread and leave, I liked that you can pick a drink to match your taste and enjoy it together. If you like a combination that cuts through the nutty butter flavor with something refreshing, the fruit-packed green grape ade suits you; if you like something sweet and smooth, the premium strawberry milk fits well. Worth stopping by if you're looking for a dessert café after a date in Songdo, a spot to go with kids, or a recommended café in Songdo, Incheon. The packaging was cute too, so next time I'd like to pick out other salt bread flavors and try the gift packaging.
