Hagik-dong bulgogi restaurant selling meal kits: Dongchuwon, Incheon
In short
Dongchuwon Bulgogi is an old-style Korean beef bulgogi restaurant near Singi Market in Hagik-dong, Michuhol, Incheon. The order was the Korean beef bulgogi set for two plus one kids meal, which ended with dessert naengmyeon (cold noodles), morning bread and ice cream, and the Seonjeong Parking Lot across the street gave 90 minutes of parking with a food order. The beef was tender enough that even a picky child cleaned the plate, and Dongchuwon Bulgogi also sells bulgogi meal kits to take home.

Dongchuwon Bulgogi is an old-style Korean beef bulgogi restaurant on the 1st floor of 67 Hagikso-ro, Michuhol-gu, Incheon. I went to check out this Hagik-dong favorite, tagged #HagikdongRestaurant #DongchuwonBulgogi.

I found this place while searching for #IncheonBulgogiRestaurant, and since it's fairly close to Singi Market with a nice atmosphere for a family meal, it was a good fit for visiting with my kid.

I heard a lot of people looking for #IncheonPrivateRoomRestaurant also visit here, so it seemed like a good pick for a family gathering or a relaxed meal too.

What comes with the Korean beef bulgogi set for two and a kids meal?
At Dongchuwon Bulgogi, we ordered the Korean beef bulgogi set for two plus one kids meal. The set came with naengmyeon (cold noodles) for dessert and morning bread included.

Since the kids meal was priced pretty low, I wasn't expecting much. But the spread turned out to be surprisingly generous, so it was great value for the price.

The Korean beef bulgogi set also came with naengmyeon and morning bread included.

Is old-style bulgogi tough? How the Korean beef tasted
Dongchuwon's bulgogi follows the old-style method: you cook the meat in the center of the pan while vegetables and glass noodles simmer with broth around the edges. At first I worried that leaving the meat cooking in the center the whole time might make it tough.

My kid is the type to spit out meat immediately if it's even slightly chewy, so I was a bit nervous inside — but the meat was genuinely tender. My kid actually ate the bulgogi well that day. She doesn't usually eat much meat, but maybe because it was so soft, she kept picking it up.
The seasoning wasn't spicy or overly salty and sweet either — overall it was on the milder side, but the meat itself was so good and the seasoning soaked in well enough that it never felt bland.

Cooking the vegetables and glass noodles together in the broth made them delicious too.
You're not just eating meat — you get to eat vegetables and glass noodles alongside it, which suits people like us who like eating a bit of everything together.

Dessert naengmyeon and the morning bread bulgogi burger
The naengmyeon (cold noodles) included in the set was also great. I personally like thin noodles, and this was exactly my style.

The broth was richer and better balanced than I expected, so it was deliciously tangy-sweet even without adding vinegar or mustard.
What I personally found fun was the morning bread — my kid spotted it while eating bulgogi and asked me to make her a bulgogi burger, so I whipped one up on the spot.

I added cheese and a bit of mustard sauce to the bread, then piled on bulgogi and mustard-leaf pickles — and it went together far better than expected. My kid had fun making it herself too.

We came for bulgogi, but ended up eating naengmyeon, vegetables, glass noodles, and even a bulgogi burger — it felt like we'd sampled a whole menu's worth of dishes. Even though my husband and I both eat quite a lot, the portions felt more than generous overall.

Even after finishing the bulgogi and naengmyeon, we still managed to polish off the dessert ice cream at the end.

Dongchuwon Bulgogi also sells bulgogi meal kits like this. After tasting it here, I'd like to try making it at home too, so I'm thinking of picking up a meal kit next time.

Where to park: Seonjeong Parking Lot, 90 minutes with an order
We parked at Seonjeong Parking Lot, right across from the restaurant. Ordering a dish gets you 90 minutes of free parking, so we had a stress-free meal without worrying about the car.

Is Dongchuwon Bulgogi good for eating out with kids in Hagik-dong?
I went looking for something my child could eat too, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well she took to the bulgogi.

If you're looking for somewhere family-friendly to eat with kids, or a #HagikdongRestaurant for a relaxed family meal, this place is worth a visit.

If you're near Singi Market looking for bulgogi, this also works as a #SingiMarketRestaurant pick, and it's a good option for those searching for #IncheonPrivateRoomRestaurant when you want a relaxed family gathering. Personally, I'm not really a bulgogi person, but I enjoyed this so much I think I'll be back...!
