Namdong seafood restaurant for raw shrimp: Veteran Fish Market
In short
Veteran General Fish Market Incheon Guwol Branch is a seafood restaurant in Namdong, Incheon. I ordered raw shrimp sashimi and made the most of the prepared shrimp, self-service bar, DIY kimchi pancake, and affogato dessert. A great late-night spot for raw shrimp sashimi and a shot of soju.

A raw shrimp sashimi restaurant open late on Guwol-dong Rodeo Street
It is on Rodeo Street in Guwol-dong, near Exit 6 of Arts Center Station on Incheon Subway Line 1, so it is not hard to find! If you come by car, you can park in the building for free.

Because it is on Rodeo Street, Guwol-dong's hot dining alley, it is great for a first, second, or third stop anytime. As a sashimi restaurant open until late at night, it is also a fitting place for groups and get-togethers!

Veteran Fish Market, a popular spot on Guwol-dong Rodeo Street, shows off its large scale from the outside. The fish tanks were huge too, and full of the trendy raw shrimp that is so popular these days~ There are outdoor tables for dining outside as well, so in nice weather like this, the pojangmacha-style outdoor atmosphere is lovely. It is perfect for a shot of soju with the cool breeze.
Spacious seating, from group tables to a terrace
The interior was really spacious too, with group tables, a central main hall, and an indoor terrace, all set up so everyone from pairs to large groups can sit together. It is genuinely great for gatherings and groups, and the location is good too—such an easy choice of venue!

Raw shrimp sashimi ordered by tablet
You can order from the tablet at each table, and the menu was packed with options: a mini raw shrimp sashimi for a taste, flounder for one person (₩21,000), rockfish (₩23,000), mullet, assorted sashimi, mulhoe (cold raw-fish soup), and more.
The Couple Set (₩58,000) is especially good value, with sashimi, sushi, spicy fish stew, and assorted banchan side dishes, and it comes out so generously for the price, so I recommend that too! But I came to enjoy Incheon's raw shrimp today, so I ordered a small raw shrimp sashimi.

The self-service bar and kimchi pancake while you wait
Some basic banchan side dishes are set out, but exploring the self-service bar while you wait is essential!

Basic side dishes such as napa cabbage kimchi, salad, and ssam wraps, plus sujebi dough flakes for the spicy fish stew and ramen noodles, are all free to use, making this a good-value sashimi restaurant in Guwol-dong.
And the pancakes you make yourself are another little pleasure. As you pour in the oil and cook up a golden kimchi pancake while waiting, time flies by—and since you can make it exactly to your taste, I always end up making one!

Springy raw shrimp sashimi, prepared for you
Then, after the wait, out came the raw shrimp sashimi! Usually you have to peel it yourself, so it often arrives in a bowl, but Veteran Fish Market prepares it for you like this, so all you have to do is eat. Peeling shrimp is sneakily hard work, so what thoughtful service from the owner 👍🏻

With seasoned sashimi salad, deeply savory myeongnanjeot salted pollock roe, a spicy kimchi pancake I cooked myself, miyeokguk seaweed soup, and assorted sauces as the basic spread, we were ready to eat!

Cheers
With the food ready, it would be a crime not to drink~ Pair delicious raw shrimp sashimi with soju, and autumn prep is complete.

After a drink, dip the shrimp generously in soy sauce and try it: the plump, bouncy texture and gentle sweetness are absolutely superb, and the drinks go down far too easily. Add the salty grilled butter shrimp, and today's drinking snack is complete!
They take live shrimp from the fish tank and prepare them as soon as you order, so there is no struggle peeling shrimp, no fishiness at all, and I enjoyed every bite.

Finishing with ice cream and affogato
Finally, I finished dessert properly with the classic ice cream, pulling an espresso shot and making an affogato. If you are looking for a great place on Guwol-dong Rodeo Street and want to try seasonal raw shrimp sashimi, I recommend Veteran General Fish Market~
