Hanam Korean set-meal restaurant, ₩54,000 for three: Jigueseo On
In short
Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch is a jjukkumi (spicy webfoot octopus) restaurant in Chungung-dong, Hanam, where each order arrives like a Korean set meal with hotpot rice, seaweed soup and side dishes. Three perilla-oil jjukkumi hotpot rice sets at ₩13,000 each plus a seafood pancake at ₩15,000 came to ₩54,000 for a meal with the writer's parents, and mixing the Bangatgan perilla oil into the rice was the best part. With a large parking lot, an outdoor garden and free coffee and ice cream, Jigueseo On Jjukkumi is an easy choice for a family meal out.

A hot-pot rice you mix with plump, smoky jjukkumi and fragrant perilla oil! A great Hanam Korean-set restaurant to bring your parents to.
What is Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch like?
Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch is a jjukkumi hot-pot rice restaurant on Seohanam-ro 390beon-gil in Hanam, Gyeonggi. I was looking for a place to eat with my parents around Hanam and found one that serves jjukkumi alongside a full hot-pot rice spread, so I went.
I assumed a jjukkumi restaurant would just serve spicy jjukkumi on its own, but it came with hot-pot rice, side dishes, and seaweed soup — a whole Korean-set-style spread — which made it great for eating with my parents too! That day we ordered the perilla jjukkumi hot-pot rice set (₩13,000) for three, plus seafood pancake (₩15,000).
Hours are daily 11:00–21:00.

Parking and the outdoor garden
The parking lot is right in front of the restaurant and it's quite spacious. Once you arrive in front of the building, you'll see Jigueseo On standing as its own detached building.

There are really a lot of trees and plants around the restaurant, and the outdoor garden was set up quite spaciously too. Since it's not a place you just eat at and drive straight off from, it was also nice for sitting outside a bit with a cup of coffee.

On a nice day, sitting at a table under the tree shade and chatting would be perfect. My parents actually loved this atmosphere too, so it was nice to rest a bit after eating.

Free coffee, ice cream and perilla oil for sale
The dessert corner right at the entrance! There's a space where you can have coffee and ice cream. Vending-machine coffee and americano are set up, and ice cream is free too, so you can finish off with dessert without heading straight back out haha

They're also running an event where you get free Han River ramyeon for writing a receipt review.
And they sell the perilla oil they use here separately. Jigueseo On Jjukkumi apparently uses perilla oil pressed directly at Bangatgan. Maybe that's why the perilla oil scent felt quite strong when I ate the jjukkumi later.
Inside the restaurant and the private group room
Once you step inside, the space is bigger than expected. The gaps between tables are generous, and with all the trees visible through the windows, it felt more like a little countryside outing than a downtown restaurant haha
The ceilings were high and the windows were large too, so it didn't feel stuffy at all.
Further in, there are long connected group tables, and also a private group room you can close the door on and use separately.

It looked like a good fit for everything from a family meal or a get-together with parents to a larger gathering, with seating suited to the group size.

Menu, prices and what three people ordered
Each table has a tablet, so you can order right from your seat. The signature dish is, of course, the Bangatgan perilla jjukkumi hot-pot rice set for ₩13,000, a menu item that comes with both jjukkumi and hot-pot rice.
There were also dishes meant for sharing, like braised monkfish and braised seafood, along with sides like seafood pancake (₩15,000) and gorgonzola pizza (₩12,000). Apparently Jigueseo On Jjukkumi started out as a monkfish specialty restaurant, and maybe that's why there was such a variety of monkfish dishes too.
We ordered the perilla jjukkumi set (₩13,000) for three, plus seafood pancake (₩15,000), totaling ₩54,000.

A full table spread like a Korean set meal
When you order the set, it's not just jjukkumi — hot-pot rice, seaweed soup, salad, kimchi, and other basic side dishes all come together on the table. The full spread was better than I expected, and it seemed like it would suit anyone looking for a Hanam Korean-set restaurant too.

The jellyfish salad was tangy and refreshing, and the japchae (glass noodle stir-fry) was springy, moist, and delicious.

What I loved was that they also serve pollack roe — salty and completely addictive with rice.

One unusual thing about Jigueseo On Jjukkumi is that they serve perilla oil separately like this, and the aroma is so good that mixing it into the hot-pot rice, or mixing it together with the jjukkumi, brought out even more savory depth.

Was the ₩15,000 seafood pancake worth it?
The seafood pancake was really tastier than I expected! From the moment it arrived it was big enough to nearly fill the whole plate.
It wasn't just green onions inside — squid and seafood were packed in generously. The squid pieces especially were big and chunky, so no matter where you cut into it you hit seafood.
The outside was properly browned and super crispy, while the inside was packed with ingredients and moist! Since the jjukkumi is on the spicier side, taking a bite of the seafood pancake in between paired really well.
How spicy is the jjukkumi, and how big are the pieces?
The moment the jjukkumi arrived, that smoky char aroma hit hard. As I ate it, it was slightly spicier than Shin Ramyeon.

For people who really can't handle any spice at all, it might be a bit much, but for me it was just the right amount of deliciously spicy.

Above all, the jjukkumi was genuinely plump. Among all the jjukkumi I've had, this was up there as some of the biggest and springiest.
At first I wondered, wait, is this really jjukkumi..? Is it a baby nakji (long-arm octopus)? haha, that's how big it was. When you bite in, instead of feeling tough, it's springy yet tender, coated in spicy seasoning with that smoky char flavor, making it perfect with rice.

Mixing perilla oil into the hotpot rice and finishing with nurungji
Mixing the rice with perilla oil is so fragrant and delicious that a whole bowl of rice disappears in no time.

After scooping out the hot-pot rice, piling on plenty of jjukkumi, and drizzling on a round of perilla oil to mix it all together, the spicy seasoning gets an extra layer of nutty aroma, and a whole bowl of rice just vanishes haha. I'd really recommend adding the perilla oil rather than just eating the jjukkumi with plain rice.
Finally, pouring water into the hot-pot to scrape up the scorched rice at the bottom finishes off a hearty, satisfying meal! After the spicy jjukkumi, eating the warm scorched rice at the end cleaned my palate and left me full.

Final thoughts on Jigueseo On Jjukkumi in Hanam
A Hanam Korean-set spot and jjukkumi restaurant, Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch! The jjukkumi itself was smoky and big and springy, which was great, but personally, the combination of piling jjukkumi onto hot-pot rice and mixing in the nutty perilla oil was the most memorable part haha.
The seafood pancake was also big and crispy with tons of seafood packed in, so I was glad we ordered it too. From hot-pot rice to basic side dishes to scorched rice, you can eat a hearty full spread, and afterward you can rest in the outdoor garden with coffee or ice cream — which made it a great place to bring my parents too.
If you're in Hanam looking to eat jjukkumi along with a bit more of a proper full spread, give it a try!
