That weekend evening moment when the family gathers around sizzling meat is always a small slice of happiness. (❁´◡`❁) Today I want to introduce a camping/outdoor-tent-concept BBQ place that's been getting hot lately around Hanam.
A cheap, high-value camping-concept BBQ spot near Gamil in Hanam — Ikkjujeokku, short for 'grill this, grill that' (이것도 꾸워먹고 저것도 꾸워먹고), haha!

The outdoor tent seats especially are popular, so it's hard to get a spot same-day ㅠㅜ Definitely book at least the day before.
Finding Hanam Gamil restaurant 'Ikkjujeokku'
Ikkjujeokku is located in Hanam-si (near Sinwoo Elementary, about a 5-minute drive from Gamil-dong). It's also close by car from Gangdong, so we arrived quickly.

At ₩5,900 per 100g — among the cheapest prices nationwide — you can enjoy high-quality Jeju fresh pork, and the fact that you're allowed to bring in outside food makes it even more popular.
Griddle hall, charcoal hall, or outdoor charcoal tent — which to choose?
This place boasts a distinctive concept with three seating options to choose from according to your taste: charcoal hall, griddle hall, and outdoor charcoal tent. Our family of three chose Griddle Hall on a weekend evening and enjoyed a hearty spread of Jeju white pork belly and five-layer pork.

Ikkjujeokku's table charge and outside-food policy
The table charge is split into two tiers: ₩3,000 per person if you order 200g or more of meat per person, or ₩7,000 per person if you order under 200g and only use outside meat/seafood.
- 🟢 Outside food allowed: meat, seafood, delivery food, etc.
- ❌ Outside food not allowed: drinks, soju, beer, rice, instant rice
It was so surprising that even meat can be brought in, at a place that literally sells meat, haha.

The self-serve bar setup
Even if you bring your own food, you can equally use the self-serve bar. Homemade ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), hairtail-innard seasoning, garlic, sesame oil, salt, scallion salad, and various leafy greens for wraps — a really abundant self-serve bar.

Different halls (indoors: griddle hall and charcoal hall)
The area visible in the back was the space for charcoal grilling. Pick whichever suits your taste❤
The outdoor charcoal tent atmosphere
Before the food came out, I was so curious about the outdoor tent vibe that I quickly went to take a look.

Each space is separate and independent, which looks really nice >< As the evening cooled down, it seemed like the outdoor tent tables among the three types were the first to fill up (●'◡'●)

I stopped by again once more before heading home after finishing our meal. People who chose the outdoor tables were grilling seafood — so jealous, haha. Next time I'm going to try booking an outdoor table.

There was a self-serve bar and a convenience store, and the convenience store even had facilities to cook Han River-style ramyeon. Amazing.
The restrooms were separated for men and women.

Ordering the delicious meat at Ikkjujeokku
They gave us a per-person seasoning dish with wasabi, Maldon salt, homemade ssamjang, and hairtail-innard seasoning.
Jeju pork at ₩5,900 per 100g is such a steal!!!!! The black pork was already sold out by the time we arrived... will try again next time, but the white pork was really delicious too!!

The three of us ordered 600g of meat, so we each paid ₩3,000 for the table charge.

Ikkjujeokku, grilling away happily
Sesame oil sauce, garlic, scallion salad, and scallion kimchi from the self-serve bar. This scallion kimchi is really delicious >< Tastes great plain or grilled, haha.

They also gave us seasoned bean sprouts and bracken fern. Grilled bracken fern was really delicious!!
Griddle Hall is also perfect for making fried rice, but we were too full after all the meat to make any.

Jeju white pork belly & five-layer pork
Here's the Jeju white pork belly and five-layer pork. A perfect balance of fat and lean meat. Thick-cut and clearly delicious just looking at it, which put me in a good mood.

The visual freshness of Jeju fresh pork really comes through!!

The pork belly was soft with a delicious savory flavor, and the five-layer pork with skin still attached burst with chewy texture and rich flavor the more you chewed.

Looking at this photo makes me want to eat that bracken fern again. Bracken fern really is best grilled on the plate. Cooked in the savory oil dripping from the meat, no words❣❣ So so delicious!! Definitely a popular pork belly spot in Hanam Gamil💕

Dipped it in salt, tried it with wasabi too. With such thick, juicy, high-quality meat, eating it simply with salt let us really taste the meat itself.

Scallion kimchi is the best with pork belly!! And piling on the homemade ssamjang for a big wrap too💕 Whether eaten this way or that way, since the meat itself is delicious, every combination ends up delicious. Eating like piggies, haha.
The bibim naengmyeon is also worth trying
There's another menu item I want to recommend — bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles). The sauce is just spicy enough and savory too; the ingredients seem simple, but the sauce is so delicious that it was amazing. We kept stealing bites from each other, haha. We ordered 2 bowls of rice and 1 bibim naengmyeon, but next time I'll order 3 bibim naengmyeon.
Don't miss the ₩3,000 discount for leaving a Naver review💕

How was it as a family outing?
If you're looking for the freest, most value-packed outdoor BBQ atmosphere or a delicious BBQ restaurant near Hanam Gamil-dong, I'd recommend Ikkjujeokku without hesitation. Beyond the reasonably priced, delicious Jeju fresh pork, you can choose between charcoal hall, griddle hall, and outdoor charcoal tent space, making it great for family gatherings or group work dinners too. The meat is cheap and so delicious that you're bound to be satisfied😍 And since you can even bring outside food, I recommend it especially to anyone wanting to enjoy charcoal-grilled food at a wallet-friendly price!
