Corkage-free Haeundae Chinese restaurant with black vinegar tangsuyuk
In short
Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is a Chinese restaurant on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan, on the ground floor of a mixed F&B building it shares with a restaurant and a bakery cafe. On a spontaneous three-day Busan trip I ordered beef belly jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), black vinegar tenderloin tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and pai huang gua (smashed cucumber salad): the broth was rich but clean, and the tangsuyuk was neither too sweet nor too heavy. Corkage is free for up to 3 bottles, so Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is worth a return visit with a bottle of wine in hand.

This is Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch, a Haeundae favorite for Chinese food. It's at 200 Dalmaji-gil 117beon-gagil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, 1st floor, open daily from 11am to 9pm (break time 3pm-4:30pm / last order 8:30pm). Parking is available in the basement lot behind the building or on the roadside across from the restaurant, and corkage is free for up to 3 bottles (₩15,000 from the 4th bottle).

A spontaneous 3-day Busan trip ◡̎ and such a satisfying find ❤︎ The interior was calm and trendy, nothing like a typical Chinese restaurant, and the clean, refreshing jjamppong plus the crispy-chewy black pork tangsuyuk were so good. If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant in Haeundae, this is a must! Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch.
Where is Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch, and where do you park?

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is actually a mixed F&B space running a Chinese restaurant, a restaurant, and a bakery cafe together! Bueokgan Chinese is on the 1st floor :) Located on Dalmaji-gil, this is a Busan favorite that draws locals not just from Jung-dong in Haeundae but from Gwangalli, Marine City, Nampo-dong, and beyond!

For parking at Bueokgan, you can use the lot behind the building or park for free on the roadside in front of and across from the restaurant!
Bubble lamps and an interior that doesn't look like a Chinese restaurant

Bueokgan Chinese in Haeundae feels very different from your average Chinese restaurant! There's an exotic touch to it while still feeling cozy and upscale, making it great for bringing your parents, going on a date, or gathering with friends ◡̎

The lighting really stands out and gives off a warm, cozy feeling — of course, George Nelson bubble lamps! You can really feel the care that went into the interior of this space :)
What we ordered: three dishes, starting with pai huang gua

- Beef belly jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup)
- Black vinegar tenderloin tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork)
- Pai huang gua (Chinese-style smashed cucumber salad)
Pai huang gua is a Chinese-style smashed cucumber dish tossed with soy sauce, vinegar, and minced garlic and served cold — it made for a perfect appetizer or side dish to go with the meal :)

How was the beef belly jjamppong broth at Bueokgan?
Both the jjajang and jjamppong at Bueokgan Chinese are famous, so it was a tough call,, but we went with the beef belly jjamppong!!!

Rich yet clean and refreshing broth! Loaded with beef belly too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) every single ingredient inside felt really fresh haha! I'm more of a toppings person,, but this is a jjamppong where you keep going back for the broth too ദ്ദി I think I'll be craving this again on a rainy day ㅠㅠ

Black vinegar tenderloin tangsuyuk and free corkage for 3 bottles
The tenderloin tangsuyuk was genuinely delicious.. ❤︎ Apparently the sauce is made with black vinegar imported from China, and it wasn't sweet or overpowering, which I loved ◡̎ I thought it would pair even better with a glass of wine, and turns out Bueokgan offers free corkage for up to 3 bottles!!! Definitely bringing wine next time!!
The tenderloin was soft and the batter was chewy!! There was (I think) coconut sprinkled on top, and that little twist worked so well ദ്ദി It's been a while since I had genuinely delicious tangsuyuk, and it made for such a happy meal in Busan ❤︎
A Busan local's pick: would I go back to Bueokgan Chinese?
A friend from Busan recommended this place, saying the interior is so pretty and the food is clean and delicious overall ◡̎ It turns out most locals already know Bueokgan!!! Next time I'm in Busan, I'm coming back with wine ˃̶͈◡˂̶͈ 200% would revisit!! If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant in Haeundae, Busan, it's Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch.
