I went to Dongmun Market again after a while to pick up some Jeju souvenirs 🏃‍♀️ When you're in Jeju, checking out the market at least once is basically mandatory〰️

Jeju Dongmun Market has everything from food to souvenirs, so I end up stopping by every time I visit Jeju. This time, instead of browsing everything, I just swung by quickly to grab the Jeju Dongmun Market souvenirs I'd already picked out in advance!

Dongmun Market offers free parking for up to 30 minutes, which was great for us since we just wanted to grab what we needed and go — much less parking stress. We quickly bought the souvenirs we'd already picked out and moved on~!

Why I chose Cheongchuni Oranda for souvenirs

My pick was Cheongchuni Oranda!! I've tried pretty much every kind of chocolate and cookie snack, so this time I wanted something a bit different for a Jeju souvenir. I also wanted to bring my parents a gift, so I stopped by to get oranda (Jeju-style fried dough snack) and gwajul (crunchy fried snack) — things my mom always liked 🙌

Oranda and gwajul remind me of snacks I ate as a kid, so seeing them again after so long felt oddly nostalgic. I heard they also have some unique flavors made with ingredients you can only find in Jeju, so it was fun just browsing the menu ✨

The donut-shaped oranda looks so pretty it would make a great gift 🍩 There were a lot of options — oranda nicely packaged for gifting, and other styles that are easy to just snack on — so it was easy to buy exactly what I needed.

There were more oranda flavors than I expected, so it could be tricky to choose on a first visit, but being able to sample each type easily made it much simpler ✔️ We tried a bit of each ourselves and picked out the ones that suited our taste!

There were several kinds of gift boxes too, perfect for souvenirs or presents 🎁 Cheongchuni Oranda's packaging is also unique and the packages are cute, which I liked even more 👏

Gamtae, yuzu and garlic oranda with bulk mixed gwajul

We also picked up gamtae, yuzu, and mareung (garlic) oranda along with the bulk mixed gwajul. Everything was packed carefully, so it made it back to our accommodation safely.

The gwajul was nutty with a great texture, the kind of taste that works for everyone regardless of age or preference. Perfect as a snack 👍

The oranda comes with nice packaging and is divided into small portions so you can buy a variety of flavors, which I liked. The yuzu was refreshing and the mareung was rich and deep — both excellent. This was my first time seeing a gamtae flavor, and the seaweed flavor was really good, so it's worth trying as a unique option 🧡

How the oranda tasted back at our Jeju stay

Once I laid everything out on a plate back at the accommodation, it turned into quite a proper little dessert spread 🍽️ It made a perfect light snack before or after a meal.

Jeju Dongmun Market has so many food and souvenir shops that it's fun just to browse, and this time I felt good about choosing oranda and gwajul from Cheongchuni Oranda!
