I stopped by Gwangjang Market today to visit Ssuk's Choco Pie Seoul, famous these days as a hot food spot ·₊˚ The packaging is so neat and pretty that it apparently sells a lot as a gift or holiday present. There's seating space inside, and you can conveniently reserve through Naver.

The best-selling menu item is the 6-piece gift set. Ssuk's cookies come in chocolate macadamia, sweet pumpkin, and sea-breeze mugwort salt. Ssuk's scones come in real chocolate, domestic bean tofu, and Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort. Ssuk's choco pies come in sea-breeze mugwort whole red bean, sea-breeze mugwort injeolmi (rice cake), Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort, Gwangju real chocolate, Udo peanut, and Ssuk's strawberry.

I bought the 6-piece gift set, their popular option. Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort, sea-breeze mugwort injeolmi, sea-breeze mugwort whole red bean, sea-breeze mugwort salt cookie, Udo peanut. Great for pulling one out at a time as a snack, and I think it would feel really nice to receive as a gift too ·₊˚

Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort choco pie

Each one is individually boxed, and the packaging is so neat it feels quite upscale. I love mugwort, and this Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort really hit that old-fashioned taste ◜◡◝ The mugwort flavor comes through quite strongly, sandwiched with soft fresh cream inside. The bread is fluffy too — a great combo of mugwort and delicious cream!

Sea-breeze mugwort injeolmi (rice cake) choco pie

This one had toasty soybean powder coating it. The moment you peel off the wrapper, a nutty injeolmi (rice cake coated in bean flour) aroma drifts out. The twist is that inside there's both nutty injeolmi cream and actual rice cake. If you're like me and love rice cakes or bread, you'll love this even more for the chewy texture!

Sea-breeze mugwort salt cookie

The salt cookies come 5 to a pack like this — bite-sized, crunchy, with mugwort and butter flavor. Great as a snack, and the mugwort taste is really appealing!

Udo peanut choco pie

The outside of the Udo peanut one is dusted with nutty peanut powder. The peanut cream inside is genuinely nutty and delicious. Not too sweet either — a flavor that would win over even older folks ~ ✌️

Sea-breeze mugwort whole red bean choco pie

This one has red beans inside the sea-breeze mugwort. It was my first time trying the mugwort-and-red-bean combo. Sweet red bean paired with fragrant mugwort worked so well together 🤍

The combination with the soft cream inside is also fantastic.
