Jeju café for last-day yuzu oranda snacks: Cheongchuni Oranda
In short
Cheongchuni Oranda Dongmun Market Main Branch Tapdong is a dessert shop near Dongmun Market in Jeju, selling oranda and gwajul. After a tasting, I picked the value-pack yuzu oranda and several flavors, and kept reaching for the yuzu snack throughout the trip home. A satisfying alternative to the usual chocolate souvenir.

On the last day of a Jeju trip, there’s always one thing to agonize over!!! What souvenirs should I buy? haha I want something edible and something you can only get in Jeju, but the overly obvious choices feel a little disappointing too… While wondering what to buy near Dongmun Market this time, I found oranda.
Oranda found as a Jeju Dongmun Market souvenir
Cheongchuni Oranda Dongmun Market Main Branch Tapdong sells oranda and gwajul (traditional fried rice snacks). There were so many flavors and the gift packaging was nicely put together, so it looked like a great stop for anyone looking for a Dongmun Market gift.

Once inside, I saw that they sold both oranda and gwajul. At first, I had no idea oranda came in this many varieties, but there were far more flavor options than I expected.
Oranda and gwajul flavor options

There were flavors including yuzu, Udo peanut, manong, gamtae, and mixed nuts.

They also had value-pack oranda, which seemed perfect for picking up as a snack.

There was even donut-shaped oranda. The varieties were truly endless: coconut, tangerine chips, cookies and cream, green tea, black sesame, peanut, yellow cheese, carrot, chocolate, strawberry, and more.

Cheongchuni Oranda also sells gwajul, in four flavors: steamed rice, white rice, brown rice, and buckwheat!
Why the gift packaging stood out

For people looking for a Jeju Dongmun Market gift, it wasn’t just the individual flavor packs that looked good—they also had gift-package options! They can be wrapped as return gifts or presents, so they looked perfect for sharing with coworkers, family, or friends after a Jeju trip~!
Tasting the oranda I expected to be hard
To be honest, I haven’t eaten much oranda. So I thought of it as an old-fashioned snack that was a bit sticky and hard. But after trying a sample, my opinion completely changed.

It wasn’t hard at all—it had a soft texture. And it wasn’t overly sweet either. Personally, I get tired of very sweet desserts after a few bites, but these were fairly mild, so I kept reaching for them. I thought adults could enjoy them without any 부담 too.
Best of all, the owner explained the flavors and products so kindly. There were so many choices that I was wondering what to get, but they recommended items based on my taste, which made choosing easy :)
After thinking it over, I bought a value-pack yuzu oranda and several other flavors. The owner recommended yuzu as a signature flavor, so I made sure to get a large yuzu one first haha ^^ The prices didn’t feel burdensome either, so I could buy a generous amount of different items without spending too much.

When you buy souvenirs one by one at the end of a trip, the total quickly adds up. Value-pack products like these seemed great for buying several and sharing around. So I was quite satisfied with this as a Jeju Dongmun Market souvenir.

How each flavor tasted, from yuzu to manong
I got so hungry before taking them home that I ended up opening the yuzu oranda first lol. I told myself, “I’ll only have one~,” but I kept reaching for it. I tried to hold back, but ate about half on the way home and finished it all within two days lol. I bought it as a souvenir, and it disappeared before it could even be commemorated…
The yuzu had a gently refreshing aroma, making it the easiest, most universally appealing flavor to eat,

while the gamtae flavor had the feel of a seafood snack you might eat in Jeju, which was fun.

The Udo peanut flavor was nutty, so I think it would suit anyone who likes mild snacks.

And the flavor I found especially fun was manong! Manong means garlic in the Jeju dialect, and it tasted a little like garlic baguette.

The mixed-nut flavor was nutty and mild, so it seemed like a basic choice with very few people likely to dislike it~
Recommended as a Jeju Dongmun Market travel snack
Dongmun Market has so much food and so many good places to eat that it can be hard to decide what to try. If, like me, you’re looking for a snack to take along at the end of your trip, stop by Cheongchuni Oranda Dongmun Market Main Branch Tapdong.
Even though I don’t usually eat much oranda, I enjoyed it. Unlike my old image of it as something hard, the soft texture was what impressed me most. Since you can choose from several flavors and there are package options, it also seemed like a good choice for anyone looking for Jeju Dongmun Market gifts or return gifts.
If you’re near Dongmun Market and wondering about Jeju souvenirs, I recommend trying oranda instead of the usual chocolate :) I ate it so much more happily than expected once I got home that I think I’ll buy it again the next time I visit Jeju haha.
