Songpa indoor date café with weekday unlimited play at One Play
In short
One Play Jamsil Branch is an indoor entertainment café in Songpa, Seoul. For 10,000 won on weekdays, I watched a movie, took a nap, and ate chicken and popcorn without rushing. Verdict: a great place to stay awhile and enjoy different activities at your own pace.

When I meet up with friends or my partner, it usually ends up being food, a café, a movie... It all feels kind of the same every day. The weather has warmed up a lot lately, but once you start going from place to place, it gets so hot—and if there are lots of people too, I run out of energy so quickly.

If you want to eat, have drinks or dessert, play board games and video games, read comics, watch anime and movies, and enjoy all sorts of things in a cool, comfortable space, visit One Play Jamsil Branch.

It felt more like a multi-entertainment space, with everything from board games to Nintendo, PlayStation, and OTT streaming services.

And for just ₩10,000, you can use it without a time limit on weekdays, so there was really no reason not to go.
One Play Jamsil Branch Rates and Location
One Play Jamsil Branch sits between Sports Complex Station and Jamsilsaenae Station.
The standard rate is ₩4,000 per hour, while weekdays offer unlimited use for ₩10,000. The standard rate is enough if you are only staying for an hour or two, but the unlimited pass is definitely the better deal if you plan to stay more than three hours.
How Are the Second-Floor Rooms and Third-Floor Open Space Divided?
One Play Jamsil Branch spans two floors, the second and third. The second floor has room-style spaces, while the third has the counter, comic books, and open tables.

The entire second floor is made up of private rooms, divided according to content such as OTT streaming and board games.

You can read comics or play board games in any room, but Nintendo and OTT streaming can only be used in rooms where the equipment is set up.

That said, you do not have to stay in the room you choose at first—you can switch rooms freely partway through, so just use the space comfortably. If a room needs cleaning, you can ask at the counter and they will clean it up nicely.

Overall, the facilities were kept very clean, and there is a restroom inside the building, so it is nice for a long stay.
The third floor is an open, café-like space with lots of comic books. You can read comics, hang out with drinks and snacks, and use it freely. But most people seemed to spend their time only in the private rooms on the second floor.

So if you use the third floor, it almost feels like you have rented the whole place to yourselves.

The third floor is quite spacious, with huge windows that make it feel wonderfully open, and the interior is really pretty too. I hung out on the third floor for a bit, and it was nice in a totally different way from the second floor.
What Can You Do, from Board Games to OTT?
I loved that One Play Jamsil Branch had so many different things to do. You would usually go with friends or a partner, and even if you want different things, you can each do what you want separately or take turns doing what the other person wants.

You can read comics, watch anime, play board games, use Nintendo or PlayStation, watch OTT, or even take a nap. You can really relax here. You do not need to look things up and make a plan beforehand.
There are thousands of comic books, lots of board games, console games, and a variety of OTT content including Netflix, Disney+, and TVING, so you can try a bit of everything.
A Day of Movies and Naps with the Weekday Unlimited Pass
I was planning to stay more than three hours, so I bought the unlimited pass. I was curious about The Little Mermaid, which had become a topic of discussion because of the Black actress playing Ariel, so I put it on as soon as I arrived—and then I got sleepy and slept deeply. Since it is a musical, I think I heard upbeat songs here and there, but I ended up not seeing any of the story at all, so I am going back to watch it properly next time.

Then I got hungry, so I had chicken and popcorn, watched another movie, and did other things too. I spent such an unhurried time there. The floor was soft, and the pillows to lean on were quite large, so I was able to rest very comfortably.

With a comfortable space and plenty of things to do and eat, I thought I could honestly stay all day—and it would be great for playing all night too. The food was varied and tasty, so I am definitely planning to go again.

If you are wondering what to do in Jamsil, I recommend One Play Jamsil Branch!
