Dombe pork set for two with free sashimi in Seogwipo: Tamra Hansang
In short
Tamra Hansang is a Korean restaurant near Seogwipo's Olle Market in Jeju, where ordering a set meal gets you fresh sashimi included at no extra cost. Visiting as a pair, the writer ordered the dombe pork (dombegogi) set for two and received soy-marinated shrimp and fried cutlassfish side dishes, sashimi of mackerel, flounder, cutlassfish and mantis shrimp, seaweed soup, and stone-pot rice. If you want sashimi and dombe pork in one sitting, the set beats ordering à la carte.

Here's the outside of Tamra Hansang, a well-known Korean restaurant in Seogwipo, Jeju!

What's the vibe like, and how's the group seating?
Here's a look at part of the interior! The space is wide and the windows are big, so it never feels cramped, haha.

Group seating is on the 2nd floor! Make a reservation in advance before visiting.

The restroom is inside the restaurant, with separate men's and women's sections.

They also have aprons available, so you can grab one yourself if needed.

Dombe pork set for two — why the set beats à la carte
We visited as two and ordered the dombe pork (dombegogi) for two. There was an à la carte option too, but at Tamra Hansang, ordering the set gets you sashimi included as standard — so I really recommend always going for the set!

The side dishes
These are the side dishes that came with the set •• so generous and varied, right?! Soy-marinated shrimp, pork belly(?), fried cutlassfish — all so good!!! There were 5 pieces of soy-marinated shrimp, so I thought about ordering more, but figured I'd try the dombe pork first — turns out the portions were so big I couldn't order extra anyway, haha.

This is the fried cutlassfish, and it was really long and tender!!

The sashimi that comes standard
This is the sashimi that comes as standard 🐟 (mackerel, flounder, cutlassfish, mantis shrimp) — I'm not sure I'm even saying that right, haha. We ordered the dombe pork set and got sashimi too???? Sir/ma'am, may your business flourish!! Honestly, I visited because I wanted both the sashimi and the dombe pork 🤍

I wrapped the sashimi in seaweed and ate it happily. So good, ugh ㅠㅠ Being able to eat cutlassfish sashimi and fried cutlassfish together was so nice.

When we were about halfway through the sashimi, they brought out seaweed soup, lettuce wraps, garlic, and cheongyang chili peppers to eat with the dombe pork! (I love cheongyang chili so I took a huge bite of one while eating — it was so spicy I cried buckets of tears, haha.)

The portion and taste of the dombe pork for two
This is the dombe pork portion for two, and it was generously plentiful! It's boiled pork, and the skin was chewy while the bone had turned so soft it was almost jelly-like from being boiled so thoroughly — and the meat itself wasn't dry at all, which I loved so much.

Stone-pot rice and sungnyung (scorched rice tea)
As we ate, the stone-pot rice came out too! It had potato and ginkgo nuts on top. You move the rice into a bowl, pour water into the hot pot, and let it sit until it turns into sungnyung! While waiting, we kept eating the dombe pork and sashimi >__<

Here's the full spread — sashimi, dombe pork, and pot rice together. Such an unbeatable combo 🤤 My partner diligently transferred the rice while I was busy taking photos, haha.
Dombe, ta-da~~!! So delicious.

Wrapping the dombe pork with doenjang (soybean paste), rice, and garlic in a lettuce leaf and eating it that way!! We enjoyed every bite so much.
The restaurant dog, Jinju
Tamra Hansang has an adorable dog named Jinju that they raise with love!! Jinju was a rescued stray dog, and the owner said they decided to take her in. If you visit Tamra Hansang, be sure to show Jinju some love too. She's friendly, sweet, and very affectionate 💗 The food was obviously delicious, but honestly, I want to go back for Jinju too.
If you want to eat both sashimi and dombe pork in one meal, and you're after a healthy, tasty, good-value meal, I recommend Tamra Hansang, a great restaurant in Seogwipo, Jeju!!
