Window seats and rose sauce panne pasta at Olivus Compagno, Sejong
In short
Olivus Compagno Sejong Boram Branch is a traditional Western-style restaurant near Sejong's Eungdari Bridge. On a fully booked Saturday afternoon, a reservation secured a window table for chicken yuzu Caesar salad, sweet pumpkin gnocchi with domestic new potatoes, and red shrimp rose panne pasta. If you're looking for a good pasta restaurant in Sejong, I recommend Olivus Compagno Boram Branch.
I'm here today to write about a delicious weekend lunch I had at Olivus Compagno in Sejong. I went at 1pm on a Saturday, and true to its popular reputation, the place was fully booked! If you're thinking of visiting, I really recommend making a reservation (which is what I did).
Near Eungdari Bridge — what about parking and pets?
Olivus Compagno Sejong Boram Branch is located near Eungdari Bridge. There's a nice walking path nearby, so it's great for a bike ride or a stroll after eating! (Sadly, it's not a river view, haha.) Pets aren't allowed, but parking is available!

Good Western-style restaurants in Sejong that nail both atmosphere and taste seem rare, but this place fits the bill perfectly! The exterior was really pretty too. It's full of thoughtfully made traditional Western dishes, so I'd recommend it as a date or gathering spot.

This is the basic table setting: cute cutlery, small plates, salt, pepper, hot sauce, and water.

The atmosphere and window seats
The interior is clean with a warm atmosphere, so it looked good for families, couples, friends, or even blind dates.

I especially loved the window seats. The glass has a coating that lets you see out clearly from inside while being hard to see into from outside, so you can eat comfortably!

There are quite a lot of tables. The spacing between seats is generous, so it's great for conversation too.

The three dishes we ordered
That day I ordered chicken yuzu Caesar salad, red shrimp panne pasta, and new potato pumpkin gnocchi.

🥗 The salad that wakes up your appetite with freshness
I ordered this to start things off with something refreshing before the mains arrived. The portion is quite generous! For two people, one salad, one pasta, and a small side dish would probably be enough. Eating it before the heavier pasta and gnocchi was perfect.

🎃 Domestic new potato pumpkin gnocchi
Honestly, I ordered this because I overheard the table next to us saying it was delicious, haha. Maybe because it's made with domestic new potatoes, the gnocchi had a unique texture — crispy yet soft. My friend who came with me said it reminded her of "hash browns."

There's a generous amount of sweet, nutty pumpkin cream sauce mixed in, which gave it real depth of flavor.

The gentle sweetness of the potato gnocchi and pumpkin sauce came together so well that I scraped up the last spoonful of sauce. Since sweetness is the main flavor here, if you're not a fan of sweet food, you might want to ask for it "slightly less sweet" when ordering.

🦐 Red shrimp rose panne pasta (highly recommended!)
The last dish to arrive was the red shrimp rose panne pasta, which grabs your attention with its visuals alone.

There were two whole plump red shrimp on top.

And it was also generously loaded with peeled baby shrimp, giving it that chewy, springy bite.

The thick, creamy rose sauce soaked all the way into the bread, so after finishing the pasta noodles, it was fun to tear off pieces of sauce-soaked bread and eat those too.

Thanks to the rose sauce's characteristic mild spiciness, you can enjoy it cleanly without feeling greasy — a dish that should please everyone!

Peeling the red shrimp can be a little bothersome, haha, but I still ate it very happily. The pasta was genuinely so good that I've already decided next time I visit Olivus Compagno, I'm ordering two plates of pasta only.

How to request pickles, and the service
They'll give you pickles if you ask! Just call staff on the table pad > select pickle.
One reason I really wanted to write this Olivus Compagno review is that the staff are so, so kind. Even though customers kept pouring in nonstop on a weekend afternoon, they served everyone with warmth, which made for a really pleasant lunch.
+ They're also running a review event right now — write a review and get 2 free drinks! I'd give this a 10000% chance of revisiting.
