I was looking for an indoor Jeju attraction to visit with my child

When you plan a trip to Jeju Island, there is one thing that quietly becomes a concern.

Where should we go with a child? Jeju is especially affected by the weather, so on rainy or extremely hot days, it is not always easy to keep visiting outdoor attractions.

As we travelled around Jeju with our son, we naturally started looking for indoor attractions one by one. While searching for things to do in Jeju Island this time, we ended up visiting Figure Museum Jeju (피규어뮤지엄제주).

We spent longer than expected at the Avengers exhibit

To be honest, I was a little worried before we went. “If it is a place to look at figures, how long will my child really stay?” My son does like figures, but I thought we would walk around once or twice and leave quickly.

But my expectation was completely wrong, haha. In the end, my son did not want to leave, and I was the one saying, “Let’s go now~,” over and over.

What was especially fun for our family was that it was not simply a space with figures on display.

My husband and son are huge Marvel fans, so I could see the difference in their eyes from the entrance. Honestly, I do not know the Marvel universe in detail, so at first I was just looking around. But when my son stood beside me saying, “Mom, this is Iron Man, and this one is from Avengers!” and explained them one by one, I started having fun too.

He especially would not budge for quite a while in the room where the Iron Man suits were lined up. “Mom, take a picture of this too!” “This one too!” “A photo here too!” When I checked our photo album in the end, I think we had taken nearly 100 photos of figures and characters alone. 😅 But it was not only Marvel.

There were DC characters that could rival Marvel too—Superman, Joker, Batman, and more.

From DC characters and characters my husband likes, such as Dragon Ball, to characters that girls may enjoy, such as Frozen, there was a wide range to see. It was fun for each family member to find an exhibit that interested them.

So rather than introducing Figure Museum Jeju simply as “a good place for children who like figures,” I would say, from the perspective of a mom who actually visited with her child, that it was a worthwhile Jeju attraction and indoor stop.

The world of figures really has no end. There were quite a lot of international visitors too. Next time, I want to allow more time to look around.
