Where is Theme Park Toon? An indoor theme park near Jeju Airport

With some time left before leaving Jeju on our last day, we ended up dropping by Theme Park Toon. Being near the airport made it easy to stop by on the way. Right next door was the arboretum where the night market is held! I'd wanted to check out the night market once, but of course the timing didn't line up so it wasn't open — still got to see the spot haha.

On the last day there was a strong wind advisory again, and Jungmun had gorgeous, sunny weather, but coming out to Jeju City it was cloudy and overcast. Still, it was much cooler, and I thought it would be nice if it were always like this. The building itself looked huge, so we went in with high expectations.

Theme Park Toon parking and admission fees

The parking lot is spacious, so no need to worry about parking! Just remember to settle up with the parking pass from the ticket booth when you leave.

They also run various events, so it's worth checking before you buy.

What Theme Park Toon looks like inside

From the entrance, everything is decorated with webtoons. I don't know much about webtoons myself, but our kids love Bread Ippalso (Bread Barbershop), so honestly that's basically the whole reason we came haha. Anyway, once you go in, there's a café on the right and snacks for sale too, so it looked like a decent place to feed the kids. But since we were short on time, we decided to move quickly.

Turning your photo into webtoon-style art at Theme Park Toon

This is really where it begins! Since it's a theme park decked out in webtoons, it seemed well designed to catch kids' attention. Once inside there's also a crafting area, which looked like it would be fun to do together.

Here, when you take a photo, it gets converted into webtoon-style art and displayed on the ceiling screen. There were various art styles to try, so it'd be nice to try them all. We went with the Ghibli style first haha. Our son came out looking like a total prankster. And I came out looking the prettiest, obviously haha.

Haha we tried this one and it was hilarious. My husband came out looking like a drunk guy, and it was way too accurate haha. The one on the right was a failed attempt at a photo together.

I'm not sure what this one is called, but it's a screen that keeps showing 3D-looking images, and it was really cool. At the end, when a snake image appeared, my second kid got startled and ran over to me haha. It really felt three-dimensional, like it was actually coming toward you.

There was a spot like this too, and since music was playing, my first kid kept dancing haha.

Second-floor game zone and souvenir shop

Going up to the second floor, there were claw machines and vending-machine-type things (which we obviously skipped) and some games too. The first one seemed to be about stomping to clear blue tiles and rack up points. And the game on the right was a punching game — the boys really loved that one!

There was stuff like this too. There's also a souvenir shop off to one side — that's where I bought a Wakku Ball, ugh,,, since it happened to be my first kid's birthday and he wanted one so badly.

Here there's a short comic strip of Black Rubber Shoes (검정고무신). I watched that a ton as a kid — Giyoung,,,,

The coloring-character screen the kids loved most

This is a simple spot where you color a character, and after coloring, you can display your drawing on the screen. When you touch the character you put up, it flies into the sky and then comes floating back down on a balloon haha. The kids had the most fun with this one.

There was stuff like this too haha, along with recreated scenes from various webtoons. Since I don't know the comics themselves though, ㅠㅠ — still, it was all put together really well. There were fun elements everywhere, and we lost track of time just looking around.

The Bread Barbershop zone: the reason for visiting Theme Park Toon

Bread Ippalso (Bread Barbershop) — my second kid's absolute favorite!!! Even I thought it was so cool and cute. Especially the barbershop counter, which was made to look really similar to the real thing haha. Since we've watched Bread Ippalso for ages, since our first kid was little, so many details felt familiar and it was fascinating, so we ended up slowly looking at every single part.

Lastly there was another comic like this, but since I didn't know it, I just took lots of photos and left haha.

Is Theme Park Toon worth it? Final verdict

It would've been nice to know more about the webtoons going in, but even though we basically came just for Bread Ippalso,,, there was so much to see and do that time flew by — a must-visit stop on a Jeju trip. Being near the airport, it seems like a great place to stop right after landing or right before you leave!!
