Soft tofu stew and grilled fish set near Jeju Airport: Naneun Jigeum

Still not done posting about our Jeju trip food spots ^0^ On our last day, heading back to Seoul, we had an awkward gap of time before our flight at Jeju Airport, so we stopped in for dinner — here's my review of a spot near Jeju Airport :)

Where is Naneun Jigeum Yongdam Airport Branch? 7 minutes by car from Jeju Airport

Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch is a grilled fish Korean restaurant at 168 Yongmun-ro, 1st floor, Jeju-si, Jeju, about 7 minutes by car from Jeju Airport. It's open daily from 9:30 to 21:00, so you can even go for breakfast starting at 9:30 am.

Even the name screams 'real deal grilled fish spot near Jeju Airport' — Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda ("I want to eat fish right now") ♥ I used to think grilled fish in Jeju was always expensive, but after eating here for a great price and high quality, that bias completely disappeared!!

The most important point: for two people, you get grilled fish with a spicy stew and various home-style side dishes for around ₩20,000–30,000, which makes it a solid pick for anyone looking for a budget-friendly grilled fish spot.

We came right before dinner peak time, before catching our flight, and there were quite a few people having a drink alongside their grilled fish. Looking at the grilled fish menu at Naneun Jigeum, you can pair it with braised dishes or stew, making it a great spot for breakfast, dinner, or drinks alike.

Menu and side dishes at Naneun Jigeum: Big Son's Set for two, 36,000 won

The signature menu at Naneun Jigeum Yongdam Airport Branch is the Big Son's Set, priced at ₩36,000 for two people. It comes with mixed grilled fish — mackerel, cutlassfish, flounder, and croaker — plus your choice of one of three stews, and one bowl of rice per person.

You'll see when you get to the photos of the grilled fish later, but honestly, getting this much delicious grilled fish for this price is something only Naneun Jigeum can pull off ^0^♥ There's also the Small Son's Set, Dad's Set, Mom's Set, Gosam Bossam (which comes with boiled pork), a solo set, and à la carte items, so there's plenty of ways to enjoy the place.

All menu items are available for takeout :) And they give a 10% discount with ID for veterans, military, police, and firefighters — a genuinely kind-hearted place.

For the Big Son's Set for two (₩36,000), we picked soft tofu stew. It came with five side dishes and a fish sauce, and while everything was tasty, the seasoned eggplant and spicy fish cake stir-fry stood out especially at this spot near Jeju Airport.

Here comes the mixed grilled fish platter!!! Doesn't this look like it deserves to be called a great value grilled fish spot in Jeju?

Jeju usually makes you think of grilled cutlassfish first, but I love mackerel so I started there — and the grilled mackerel was amazing too!!!

The cutlassfish, croaker, and flounder all had plenty of meat on them as you can see in the photos, so if you want a grilled fish set meal or Korean food near Jeju Airport, you need to come to Naneun Jigeum Yongdam Airport Branch.

Why soft tofu stew is the pick among the three stew choices

Out of the three stew choices that come with the Big Son's Set, I picked soft tofu stew, and Naneun Jigeum's soft tofu stew was so spicy and rich I almost thought it was made by a soft tofu stew specialty restaurant. Since I've been craving spicy stew every day since getting pregnant, this was especially welcome.

I already knew this was a great grilled fish spot, but what's going on with this spicy soft tofu stew?? It tasted like it came from a dedicated soft tofu stew restaurant, which was such a nice surprise haha! If you like spicy, rich stew, I recommend pairing it with the grilled fish at Naneun Jigeum.

Is Naneun Jigeum worth it for your last meal in Jeju?

Naneun Jigeum Yongdam Airport Branch isn't just about the main grilled fish — the accompanying stew and side dishes are all delicious too, and it's such good value that I'd recommend it again and again as a spot near Jeju Airport.

Next time I visit Jeju, I'd like to come back here for breakfast. Ended my last meal in Jeju on a really good note~ haha
