Foot bath café in Jeonju Hanok Village with parents, window seat for 3

In short

Anma Jogyok Cafe Manjok is a 2nd-floor foot bath and massage café on Eunhaeng-ro in Jeonju Hanok Village. Visiting with parents on a day trip, the writer got a 3-person window seat and a 40-minute lavender foot bath course that came with a drink and a shoulder massager, all while watching the hanok village view. After a day of walking, feet felt light again by the end, making this a solid mid-trip rest stop in Jeonju.

A café in Jeonju Hanok Village that's great for healing with a foot bath — Anma Jogyok Cafe Manjok

I went on a day trip to Jeonju with my parents to eat a ton of good food and get some healing in too. Out of all the cafés in Jeonju Hanok Village, I found one that could loosen up legs grown heavy from walking around all day, so I brought my parents there partway through the trip!

There's even a photo zone on the way in, and apparently it's been featured on TV variety shows. For adults there's just one course, so there's nothing to choose between. If you want the shoulder massage, you can also add extra time!

Lockers and store slippers

Once you walk into Anma Jogyok Cafe Manjok in Jeonju Hanok Village, a staff member checks your party size and helps guide you in. You store your bags and belongings in the lockers in the back, and after taking off your socks and changing into the store's slippers up front, you're ready for the foot bath haha.

There's also a restroom inside, and I used it — it was really clean, which I liked. Honestly, when a café's restroom is dirty, it kind of ruins the vibe, right? It felt like they were putting real effort into upkeep, which was nice. The drinks weren't self-serve — staff made them and brought them over later.

How are seats assigned for a party of 3?

Seats are usually set up in pairs facing each other, and since there were 3 of us, my mom and dad were seated facing each other by the window while I was placed to the side on my own. Still, the seats weren't too far apart, so we could chat and relax together during the foot bath.

Choosing a foot bath scent and the 40-minute course

After rolling up your pants and waiting a bit, a staff member brings over the foot bath solution to mix into the water and explains it. The options were lavender, rose, and peppermint, and they explained how each was different, but I didn't quite catch it all, so I just went with lavender based on personal preference.

The course runs about 40 minutes, and during the foot bath you also get to drink the beverage you chose and even have a shoulder massager placed on you — it's a really relaxing café experience in Jeonju Hanok Village. They also sell the foot bath products and shoulder massagers separately, so they'd make good gifts after trying them out yourself.

A staff member asks what drink you'd like, and once you pick one from the iced tea, coffee, and tea options, the foot bath begins! The chair slides forward, so you pull yourself in and place your feet inside the foot bath machine — bumpy textures on the bottom automatically rotate and stimulate your soles in a way that really melted away the fatigue.

How does the shoulder massager work?

A little while later, they put the shoulder massager on us too. You slide both hands in and they press the start button — it turns off after 15 minutes, and you can press it again to keep going. They also said you could use it on other body parts if you preferred, not just the shoulders. It felt a little uncomfortable for me so I took it off partway and just did the foot bath, but it was still really nice.

Sitting by the window, you can enjoy this kind of view of Jeonju Hanok Village while relaxing in the café. The weather that day had a gentle breeze that felt amazing, so I was happy just staring blankly outside.

My feet felt light once it was over

Once the time is up, you finish the course by applying the foot cream set aside on the side. Honestly, I thought — it's just a machine, how refreshing could it really be — but after a whole day of walking around and eating nonstop, it genuinely relieved the fatigue, and once I stepped outside afterward my feet felt noticeably lighter. If you're in Jeonju, definitely stop by once~
