In short

ZERO100 PC Gireum is a 24-hour PC café in Seongbuk, Seoul, a 2–3 minute walk from Gireum Station Exit 6 on the basement level. Working solo on a 3-hour pass, the writer had spam mayo rice bowl with pork belly topping, cheese tteokbokki, and short chicken legs with a chocolate bar for dinner and snacks. The seats are soft and roomy, great for getting work done, and the food was better than expected.

I've been juggling so many things lately that I couldn't get everything done just on my phone, so I ended up needing to go to a PC café. After thinking it over, I remembered the PC café near Gireum Station I'd visited before, and since it was around dinnertime, I naturally started thinking about the tasty food there too. So I figured I'd knock out my work and grab a good meal at the same time, and headed to ZERO100 PC Gireum.

Same as last time, it took about 2–3 minutes on foot from Gireum Station Exit 6, and since it's so close to the station, it's easy to get to by public transit.

Finding the way down to the basement level

I finished my errands around dinnertime and needed to use a computer right away, so I headed to Gireum Station. Walking down from the station, you'll spot the big ZERO100 PC sign at the entrance of the commercial building.

Once you go into the building with the ZERO100 PC sign, there are stairs against the wall — ZERO100 PC is on the basement level, so you just head down the stairs.

Banner about outside food hung in front of the store

Going down, there's a big banner right in front of the store that I hadn't noticed before — seems like it went up because so many people bring outside food into PC cafés.

Personally, I think the food at ZERO100 PC Gireum is good enough that it's better to eat here, so as someone who was hungry and wanted to get work done quickly, I went on in.

Inside the store — kiosk, team rooms, indoor smoking room

Walking in, there are various events going on at the front of the PC café — looks like a giant mozzarella cheese stick was just launched, and the moment I saw it I wondered if I should order it right away.

Near the entrance there's a kiosk for paying for PC café passes and separate team rooms, and in front of that a counter and restroom, so you can take care of everything comfortably inside.

Indoor smoking room inside the store

This is especially great for smokers — there's a separate indoor smoking room here, so you don't need to keep going outside.

Alcohol wipes placed on the wall

Seats that are great for a 3-hour work session

Since I planned to be there for about 3 hours, I wanted to get set up, so I grabbed some alcohol wipes hanging on the wall and looked for a decent seat. Since the place is so popular though—

there were so many customers that finding a seat wasn't easy. But once I sat down at a decent spot, the seats were soft and the space was roomy enough that it was comfortable to work in, so I ended up staying the full 3 hours, haha.

Menu board and what I ordered with prices

Getting work done is great, but I also came for dinner, so I picked out my menu. There's such a wide variety of dishes here that after some deliberation, I picked the can't-fail tasty options.

Ordering the spam mayo rice bowl with pork belly topping

I think the spam mayo rice bowl is the best item here in my opinion, so I added pork belly to it, and since I was really craving cheese tteokbokki that day too, I went with that combo.

After ordering, I handled some work on the computer for about 10–15 minutes and before I knew it, the spam mayo rice bowl and cheese tteokbokki were ready. When I actually got it, the cheese on the tteokbokki looked so good, and taking a bite, the tteokbokki sauce was sweet and the rice cakes were chewy.

Next, thinking Koreans run on rice, I dug into the spam mayo rice bowl. It was loaded with egg, seaweed flakes, and ham, and the rice was generous, about 1.5 servings' worth. With the meat added, it was every bit as satisfying as the famous cup rice at Noryangjin, filling and hearty.

Adding a few snacks mid-work

After finishing off the rice bowl and getting back into work in earnest, my mouth got a little bored so I wanted a snack, and ordered the short chicken legs, a cola, and a chocolate bar.

Working while snacking on something sweet felt like pure bliss. If you ever have to go to a PC café, I'd recommend checking out ZERO100 PC Gireum, where the spam mayo rice bowl and cheese tteokbokki are genuinely tasty.
